Thanks for the video... I don't think that was too bad, I would never have used AP1 on a road like that so the fact that AP2 even offers and doesn't do a half bad job is a good sign.

Alan, I posted in that thread, but at the time that thread was started we were told we could still purchase the UMC but it would be extra, fine I said, I want one. Now I'm told the UMC will not be available.

Yup, same here, my VIN is 35709 and mine still shows "sourcing parts", I was told June delivery (I'm abroad at the moment but due to return in June, I have already sold my previous car in anticipation of delivery).

That's not the point is it.. driving to a charging station, sitting with your car for an hour while it charges is far less convenient than simply "trickle charging" from a 13A socket while visiting friends / relatives.

Yes I got the same pitch, and I agree you're just not going to find blue outlets near parking spaces, you're much more likely to find a 13A, I'll now have to buy the UMC instead of buying the type-2, no difference.

Yeah it seems a bit counterintuitive as most of us will need the UMC for those occasions when we just aren't anywhere near a Type 2 charger, or it's just more convenient to slow charge overnight (visiting relatives, etc.)
