It sounds like the air suspension pump on my old Jaguar. (My S has coil springs)

I attempted to copy your leak test. In a bucket of water at 30psi on a tyre pump, no air leaks. I think the bead of sealant worked.

I put a bead of gasket sealant under the lip before I pressed it in. I like your pressure test system. I'll try that.

That's one thing I don't like about my old S, can't have a towbar.

2014 Model S 85

I have a 2014 85S. It had a new drive unit 5 years ago . Recently, I've heard a humming noise on regen, but only after a long journey and the drive unit is presumably hot. I wasn't sure if it was the motor or the tyres, as they are almost due for replacement.

I'm trying this setting: Display, energy saving, always connected. So far it hasn't failed where it has before.

I had similar on my 2014 S. I bought several handles on eBay when I found them at a good price. I swapped parts from one to the other until I had a functioning handle. The part under the large star drive bolt is a pressure sensor I believe. The wires had ripped out of mine too. The bolt can set...

2014 S mcu1 2022.8.10.17: still playing up. Changing to wifi hotspot did not work. Had to reset it again.

If there is nothing loose , the thrust angle is probably out

Are there any shortcuts to changing the manifold? Would it be possible to drop the subframe just a little, leaving the drive motor supported in place?
