Am I crazy? Model Y without home charger...

For my first MY, I had free supercharging and charged exclusively 4k miles per month at a supercharger. It was about two miles from my house. I didn't mind and found it relaxing. I put the seat back and listened to music or used my phone. (This was through Budget Long Term Rental, they gave...

Why can't you order a new Model Y?

I paid way more for my '22 MYP than the current prices, so I am a prior buyer who paid much more. My 2017 Prius Prime has 318k miles, and a new Prime is basically the same price as a MY, even a MYP. I am debating getting another Tesla and driving it into the ground, but we don't have enough...

Why can't you order a new Model Y?

I did not see that from the main Model Y page, so I was wondering if the refresh was imminent.

Why can't you order a new Model Y?

It seems for a while you, you can only buy an inventory model. The Juniper is not supposed to come out for a while. They made more cars than they produced for this past quarter, but you can still order other models. Any ideas?

3.5 year MYLR update 179.7k miles

It depends on the car. I also have a long commute, it's 120 miles round trip and takes 1 hr 15 minutes in the morning and 2+ hrs on the way home. I used to practice law in NYC, so getting home at 5:00 most days is a major improvement. Anyway, the gas savings depend on the car. I currently...

Campground Camping, Sleeping in MY Supply List

After staying overnight in the MY, I would recommend extra pillows to fill in the spaces on the left and right sides of the mattress. Four extra were enough. We also bought an electric cooler that perfectly fit in the sub trunk. Make sure you test this out. It's tight for two people. My...

High mileage model 3 LR battery life expectancy

Funny you say that. I just test drove the 2024 Prius and absolutely hated it. I'm renting a 2022 Model 3 RWD for the week to see how it is in the winter. It's the third time I have had one of these. I love it. Tesla is ruining all other cars. I'm going to get a Model 3 as my daily, and a...

High mileage model 3 LR battery life expectancy

The Tesla is going to need multiple batteries and drive units to get to 500k miles. I only needed one Prius and a 3k battery.

Tesla Model Y - Things You Should Know!

I was reading this wondering if we have the same car. I love our '22 MYP and have experienced none of this. I had another '22 MYP before the current one- it was even better. So, over 30k driving '22 MYPs. Wow. Just sell the car.

    Battery Range after year

My 22 MYP is at 202 at 70% after 13k miles. This is with 11% supercharging. That should be 288.57 miles at 100%.

Model Y Performance 21"- Pirelli or Michelin?

I have the Michelin that came with the car and have between 7/32 and 8/32 after 13k miles. The car is not in chill mode, but I'm also not launching it. After 17k miles with my last MYP, there was also hardly any wear with the same tires. Your driving style will definitely impact the wear. I...

Model Y RWD(LFP) or Model Y LR IN US?

If it didn't come with the LFP, I would spend the 5k and get the additional range.

What’s the best year model Y Perf to purchase?

Instead of a new '23, I went with the lowest mileage '22 I could find that had the updated interior and USS. I had a '22 and loved it. I have rented a number of '23 Teslas with vision and missed the USS. I paid a premium for the low mileage '22, but I'm okay with that and use the USS all the...

Tesla battery longevity not affected by frequent Supercharging, study says

Here's my study of n=2. I had a new 2022 MYP that I supercharged exclusively. I charged it to 100% twice a week and to over 90% on the other days. I put 4k miles a month until it had around 17k miles. I bought a 2022 MYP with 3k miles that I have religiously followed charging guidelines and...
