Watertown MA Service Center - a joke?

I have used a local tire location (Hogan Tire) and they have patched my Tesla tires multiple times.

Watertown MA Service Center - a joke?

I just brought my Model 3 to the Watertown service center for the A/C fan not working. They replaced the body control module for about $650 and the A/C failed again today. The earliest I can get from Watertown is the end of March (20 days away). I am bringing it to Providence instead and I...

    Supercharger - Lisbon, CT

As of 29aug the NAV says down and it is indeed down. Weird.

MCU1 S Owners: Logic FOR/AGAINST Tesla's $2,500 "Infotainment Upgrade"? (Not required for FSD)

If you already have grandfathered premium, you keep it even if you upgrade your MCU. It is tied to the car, not the MCU.

MCU1 S Owners: Logic FOR/AGAINST Tesla's $2,500 "Infotainment Upgrade"? (Not required for FSD)

Ahh yes, the old fanboy "You do not deserve a Tesla because you disagree with something that Tesla does" comment. Look, Tesla is a great car. I own two of them. I will not be paying the $2500 for this 'upgrade' because I wish to keep FM radio. I use FM radio. So for me, this is not a...

    Tesla Offers $2,500 Infotainment Upgrade

I find it interesting to read comments from those who stream from their phones. Here in Massachusetts, it is now illegal to even touch your phone when driving (of course that does not stop the hundreds of people I see looking at their phones while driving to work, but whatever). So how do...

    Supercharger - Revere, MA

Another reason this works is that it is close to Boston and Logan, but has free parking so no issues with parking fees, etc. This lot always has spaces available.

    2020.4 Anything New?

My late 2016 Model S with MCU1/HW2.0 is installing the update right now. I am in Massachusetts. I will post any highlights from the release notes if any.

Loaner / Rental fleet almost completely eliminated?

The cost to Tesla to employ, schedule and coordinate the staff to do this is much more expensive than simply providing credits for Uber.

Do I just sue Tesla? New record for getting Powned

I personally wonder why you installed a new battery in a brand new car. There is no advantage that I can figure out to having a different 12V battery at all.

UV Worked great on my badly yellowed screen

My current screen (which is a replacement from about 1.5 years ago) started to slightly yellow. I was in for service for other issues, and the Watertown service center performed the UV 'treatment' and now the screen looks brand new. I was told that the trim needs to come off to perform the...

Chicago superchargers all inside parking garages?

Downtown Boston has the same issue. There is a super charger in which the parking costs more than the electricity could ever cost. But luckily, they have built an urban super charger just south of the city in a free garage. Tesla should not be paying for your parking in urban areas.

So Tesla is upgrading Model 3 cars with the V3 FSD computer, when do older Model S cars get it?

HW1 is not getting any upgrade. We all know that. HW 2.0 has Red and clear cameras. There is no way to absolutely determine yellow from green reliably without having the other colors. HW 2.5+ has full RGB cameras. HW2.0 is most likely going to need a camera upgrade. It might just be...

So Tesla is upgrading Model 3 cars with the V3 FSD computer, when do older Model S cars get it?

Yes color blind people can drive cars, but the processing power of the brain to recognize positional lights is much better than a computer.

So Tesla is upgrading Model 3 cars with the V3 FSD computer, when do older Model S cars get it?

The sad part about your statement is that it is partly true. Tesla is more concerned with the shiny new things and they already got my money that I paid three years ago for FSD. As to colors, I submit that in order to accurately determine what is going on, it needs full color in order to drive...
