    Google Home/Assistant Tesla Commands

Nice! Yeah what I'll do is send you the proposed changes on github so its essentially the same base code. I've had to enhance the code for supporting multiple cars, I'll send you that too.

    Google Home/Assistant Tesla Commands

BizJet's code is good and is already the basis for something that will be for the Google Assistant. ;)

There's nothing to "publish" on IFTTT because as I said in the reply, it uses the "maker channel". The steps are: - Google Home 'trigger' on IFTTT, e.g. "unlock <carname>" - IFTTT action via Maker channel to send request at web server on RPi (RPi has to be on the internet / webserver, static...

    Google Home/Assistant Tesla Commands

Yes, you can integrate via Google Home and IFTTT with a Maker channel that e.g. talks to RPi that in turn talks to Tesla. I have something though all I have at the moment is "unlock" and "turn on climate". I don't think Tesla have a good way of giving out partial credentials and I already used a...

    Model X Dashboard

actually, there's a bug (that i consider a 'useful feature') whereby if you set your navigation to a destination THEN reach that destination it keeps the heads-up map on display and doesn't remove it. bug is still present in 7.1

Strange network behavior... car incessantly attacking my nameserver

my guess is they did a relatively simple fix for CVE-2015-7547 to stop people using that as an attack vector and got it slightly wrong. my guess is they just did an iptables rule to block dns responses >512 bytes without necessarily realizing their own servers do this because of the CNAME.

Spotted in Australia and New Zealand

ok, so this is not exactly "spotted" in Australia, but its a shout out to happy 'straya day listening to the Triple J Hottest 100 while driving home this evening here in California while making use of autopilot in ordinary traffic (note the car in front of me not even in the lane anymore LOL).

    Black seats in hot climate?

If parked with sun coming in the windscreen on a hot (90+F) day in NorCal, yes black next gen seats are HOT to touch when wearing shorts. Just turn on cooling a few minutes beforehand and its fine - or wait 10 seconds and its not an issue. Its no worse than any other car.

Fremont SC only drawing 10A on my car.

your car says 'charging' not 'supercharging'. voltage is also charger not supercharger. are you sure you were actually at the Supercharger????

Letter To Elon Musk Regarding P85D Horsepower – Discussion Thread

Indeed. As a P85D owner I'm totally fine with how the car behaves. As far as I'm concerned, its to spec. To me its very clear that the car acceleration behaves differently based on SOC and battery temperature. Not rocket science. Maybe the complainers would like Tesla to disable traction...

    Supercharger - Wodonga VIC

No not batteries. These look the same as what is used in superchargers here in US (California). Inside each of these cabinets is 12 x rectifier modules (AC->DC), which are basically the 'same' units as what you have inside your car except they're in a ~3RU type rack-mount enclosure. Each...

Is Air Conditioning less effective at high altitude?

Into a 2nd page of the thread any noone has actually responded to on anything physics related. heh. Short answer is yes: lower air pressure (higher altitude) = lower convective heat transfer capability. Put another way, the air is thinner and has less ability to carry heat. (in the context...

    Firmware 6.2

got 250 yesterday evening. noticed this morning reversing out of driveway that the slow-speed reversing (dual motor) was less 'jerky' than in the past. (i suspect at low speed its hard for them to sync the speed front/rear between two motors of different sizes at different rpm/reduction ratios...

    Floormat attachment (front passenger)

Yes, they are removable. Rotate counter-clockwise, there's a plastic screw moulded into the back of them holding them down. Easy to put back down if you want via clockwise.

    OSS and Tesla

you seem to making the assumption they modify the kernel. its not likely they do that as there is simply no reason to.
