Home Charge Points Discussion and Suggestions [megathread]

One thing to bear in mind, as I found out over the weekend and isn't really a major issue to be honest, is that Wallbox doesn't handle a change in daylight savings time very well. The Tesla handles it well but the Wallbox struggled, i suspect it's down to how it records the length of the...

Model 3 seat kick back protectors with tablet sleeve/holder?

So I ended up going for these. They fit really well and the material is smooth and easy to wipe clean. Got them just in time given the weather is turning, wellies are the footwear of need for my youngest and she usually finishes nursery covered in mud lol

Home Charge Points Discussion and Suggestions [megathread]

Had a 7.2Kw Wallbox Pulsar Plus (tethered) installed today. My install was by no means "standard" and the firm who installed did a great job! All-in it cost £1,100 and took around 5-6 hours. I'm loving the fact I don't need to run the granny charger through a window or under the garage door...

    UK Charge Point Installer Recommendations

Had my Wallbox Pulsar Plus installed today by David Pearce Electrical today. They're based in Leicester but do nationwide installs (I'm in Warwickshire). Very professional and thorough with carrying out virtual surveys. My install wasn't "standard" so they were keen to ensure they had all info...

Model 3 seat kick back protectors with tablet sleeve/holder?

Hi Everyone, I have a 2021 Model 3 LR and 2 kids. I'm struggling to find driver and passenger seat kick protectors with built in tablet holders. The ones I've ordered (and returned) that I've tried don't have long enough straps to get around the integrated headrests so they're a no-go at the...

After a shed load of pushing and hounding the DNO, the application was approved and I have a confirmed install date for the Wallbox Pulsar Plus (black) for the 12th Oct 🥳

Ah, i think we assumed they had given you a crap offer. My suggestion would be to speak to Tesla and find out what happens if your offer expires given you're estimated delivery is Nov. I suspect they'll say "reapply closer to the time and we'll give you a new trade-in estimate".

@Abernus you should definitely shop around. Check out Wizzle, motorway.com, Cazoo to name a few. People in this thread (including me) have been able to get a great deal by selling elsewhere. These sites are typically dealers so they'll purchase your car, settle finance, and if you're in...

It's a bit of a lottery to be honest. It depends on when you ordered, what you ordered, and possibly where you intend to collect from.

It should have come with the car. Call Tesla and they'll send you out a new one.

Home Charge Points Discussion and Suggestions [megathread]

Found out Friday that the "last mile DNO" I mentioned in a previous post has a 60 day backlog of requests to work through! What an absolute piss take! FYI if you ever have to deal with Energy Asset Networks, I feel your pain. The person I spoke to said he'd push the application for my install...

    UK Charge Point Installer Recommendations

No probs. I should clarify that the install cost of £1,100 includes the pulsar wall charge point.

    UK Charge Point Installer Recommendations

I assume you've spoken to an electrician who has experience installing EV chargers and can handle the EV Grant paperwork/application etc? EV charge points need to be connected to the meter box directly in most cases so if your meter box is at the front of the house and the garage at the back of...
