I wasn't doing anything different. I think the front camera is off by a few frames in the merged video- I have a version that plays side by side.

The front camera is somewhat deceiving - I have a version with 0.25 speed and it clears things up. My car did steer right after I was hit. Also, the collision detection did engage in the last moments I think. @Jamie@electrek how to contact you?

I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect the car manufacturer to add this feature. All cars have rear camera and some even have 4 cameras for 360 view. They just need to enable recording.. as usual they charge for everything, so why not?

True for the first year, actually first 6 months. It's supposed to be based on value of car. For my i3, second 6 month tax was half of first 6 ! I can't complain if they do the same for Tesla

50 miles cars with heavy discount - Most of them are show room display cars, see VIN they are in 134***range. They have wear and tear. how much depends on foot traffic to that show room. Of course there few where they got 15k discount on shrink wrap car- they just got lucky.
