How to change the PIN to drive?

Enter your Tesla account credentials instead of existing pin and it'll clear out the previous one, allowing you to create a new pin the next time you toggle it on.

    Acceleration Reduced.... new problem

Yea, Tesla doesn't seem too eager to replace the contactors/switch just based on the noise alone, but it definitely seems to be a common occurrence. How much balloon noise is acceptable

    Acceleration Reduced.... new problem

Me too! Got the message today, 2013 P85+ with a B pack, 44k Miles. My car has always had the 'balloon squeal' on aggressive acceleration, looks like replacing the contactors eliminates this noise as well? Has anyone experienced the same issue with the new/updated parts?

Stiff Brake Pedal when Starting Car in Morning

My 2013 P85+ brake pedal feel is consistent. Definitely not normal for the pedal to be stiff in the morning. Peculiar issue since I assume they bled the system when replacing your brake booster.

How to Tell a P85 vs P85+ (besides the badging)

If Tesla confirmed it to be P85+, the current owner can also call and request the graphics in-car to be updated.

    Buying CPO with accident history

Don't sign the mvpa until you physically inspect the car prior to delivery. Worst case, you don't accept the car for whatever reason and they aren't willing to refund/transfer your deposit (I doubt they'd refuse since you weren't aware of prior accidents when placing the deposit) . You'd only...

CPO: Car has 1,500 miles more than expected

My CPO also had a mileage discrepancy between deposit and delivery (initial MVPA was 661 mi less than the final MVPA), which I caught prior to finalizing with my lender. Tesla discounted the car at a rate of $.30/mile after I inquired with my DS, so the price of the car was reduced $200. Not a...

    Plus Matters

Hankook Ventus V12 275/30/21 for the Rear fits, they don't make a 265 series rear. I've heard from other P85+ owners that the Hankooks wear better with lower road noise, in return for slightly less grip than the Michelins. Ebay sometimes has sales on Hankooks, I picked up a set preemptively a...

    Just made the plunge

That's a great price since you got a 4 yr warranty. USE CU currently has rates at 1.49% up to 84 mo for any car 2011 and newer. I also got 3 months deferred payments when I got my loan in Dec through them.

    Just made the plunge

Credit union for me as well. I went with USE, Berkeley based if I recall. Don't need to start shopping for loans until you have a confirmed delivery date IMO. My car was delayed which caused my loan to expire and the CU had to re-run my credit for loan #2.

About to pull the trigger, but need some quick advice, 85 or P85?

For $2k I'd go with the P. If anything you'll be able to ask a little more when it's time to sell or trade in. P85 and S85 are identical in every way except for the drive motor and inverter. You'll notice no difference in handling between the two unless using the same wheel/tire combo. My...

Question on CPO MS with rear facing seats

Contact your local cpo advisor and go for a test drive on a car equipped with rfs first. Not sure how you intend to use them, but there's no air circulation/ventilation back there and kids can get hot real quick. My friend has the rfs, and tells me they have to blast the ac and close the front...

Another Insurance Query specific to Southern California folks

Check Wawanesa. They're San Diego based and have beaten every other insurance provider I've seen mentioned here (for me).

    Price Check: 2013 P85+

Exactly, what Hank said. Priorities make all the difference. It was worth it to me too, if you've driven anything with an M badge and liked it, you'll like the +. I had friends question why I didn't "pony up" for a new AP2 equipped S60. My response "why would I pay more money (and depreciation)...

    Price Check: 2013 P85+

Adding a data point - My CPO 2013 P85+ with 33k was $56.8K last Dec. (loaded with 21s except for dual charger and RFS). Usually, the cars you can find on EV-CPO are indicative of the market for that particular trim of Model S, but do not indicate the lowest price a CPO could be had for. For...
