My card slipped into the top, sliding lid compartment. I was on my way out of town when it happened, and I quickly called the service center. I didn't even need an appointment, and it took them 10 minutes to retrieve.

Have you considered the free charging on “Electric Avenue?” Charging is free, compliments of Portland utility, but you do have to pay for parking. There are two J1772 chargers and several CHAdeMO chargers. Electric Avenue 2.0 - Google Search

I had this happen to my brand new Model S when I picked it up last November. They snapped it back in place, and it separated again in a few weeks. The second time around, they replaced all the clips, and it's stayed in place since.

I picked up my car from the Seattle service center today. They performed an "active louvre retrofit," and the groaning noise is now gone!

I have a servicing appointment here in Seattle to address this on 16 February. They had to order replacement parts from Fremont that took a liitle over a month to arrive. I sent them a video of the groaning noise last month, and they knew what to order based on the video I sent.

It's agonizing, isn't it? My car went into production 04 November and is STILL in production. My DS said that as of 19 November the car was in the final stage/quality check. Fingers crossed mine ships soon.

Mine is in production now and this delivery estimate has been visible for quite some time now, even when my car was in production queue. Have you tried emailing your DS? Your DS should be able to give you a more accurate timeframe.
