Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Most people don't have analytic mind, indepedent thinking, they read and beilive what MSM writes. it is kind of unfortunate Tesla does not want to allocate resourses to rebuttal MSM garbage articles.

From what I read, updated Model 3 is beautifull, removing Gear stoke and signal stoke may be hard to accept by some buyers. Those who wants to upgrade from current Model 3, it make sense to wait until new version comes out, Those who buying their First Tesla, no need to wait for Refresh Model...

It is very easy to get depresssing thoughts on TSLA these days, Recession, demand collapsing, Elon behaving badly, Elon dumping lot share on open market. From a business prospective TSLA cost structure is second to none, they will change accooding to market condition and will have decent margin.

Not many people talks about it but whatever manufacturing improvement made at Giga China has to be something special to the point China team coming over to Giga Fremont CA.

Looking at Rivian microscopically at this stage does not make sense, Big question is, can they ramp quickly ?, Rivian investment will not be pain free, Tesla lost money for good 10 years with Model S&X voulme around 100K, went almost under during Model 3 ramp.

Monroe Channel is shifting to monetise their channel, but content is still ok. As far as EV making, all big participants will make decent EV but as Elon stated Tesla’s edge will remain on manufacturing prowess, if someone makes a cool EV and loose ton of money, wall street love for that company...

People are still underestimating Federal Credit implications, If it’s go through, it’s a indirect benefit to Tesla in multi billions in higher sales and better margin over next 10 years.

People are underestimating positive impact of EV credit, it’s is good for EV industry big time, though it hasn’t passed yet but hopeful.

In some way Tesla could be lot bigger than Apple at the same time Automotive industry is brutally competitive, Sure most ICE makers are still lazy and thinking small, but logically somebody has to come out swinging challenging Tesla, may be Chinese company.

I think they are pursing compact models, but Tesla will keep their mouth shut as long as it necessary, they knows cannibalization very well.

Most people don't realize it but this quarter earning is very important, Elon is sending all kind of mixed signal, Tesla is burning ton of money because of ramp of Burlin and Texas at the same time. He even went to as far as saying Tesla is worthless unless we solve FSD, I don't buy this...

My only fear is , Tesla will increase their volume significantly over next couple years, finding buyer who is willing to pay 66K for Model Y could run into problems. Having said that, Elon is no dummy, he will come out with lower trim version of Y at lower starting price if demand becomes an issue.

It almost feel like Tesla wants to leverage their brand value, High end brand, screw it, we will increase prices, no one is close to copying our vehicle yet, let's go to Apple way, You could buy $300 Android phone but Apple say we will charge $700.00 plus, people are still buying it.

What makes it worse is, Storage business is already low margin business and rising batteries cost doesn't help, though batteries used in storage is Li Fe.
