Battery Pack Failed in Less Than One Year (>13,000 miles)

Labor and delivery costs add up for Tesla too. I don't think it is in their interest to give you the absolute bare minimum, as most batteries that have already degraded a good amount are not going to last. You should at least get a "decent" battery. I think the stories you are hearing are about...

Want to buy a Model 3, insurance is crazy expensive

I know when I was growing up, some Auto Insurance companies provided steep discounts if you completed a valid driving school. I would ask the insurance companies if they do anything like that. It may cost some money up front but you could save a lot over time. Mine was an assertive driving school.

Reduced Range - Tesla Issued a Service Bulletin for possible fix

Thread title is appropriate, "possible fix". I took my car in for service January to address the battery breathers and look into this service bulletin as my range at 100% had gone down a lot, I think to 286 miles. They ran diagnostics and said my battery is fine and concerns about a particular...

Is FSD overpriced ($7,000 over AP)?

I wonder if after many years we'll get to a point where the value of the FSD package exceeds the vehicle by itself, and people just keep repairing the old cars to keep having a FSD vehicle :D

Is FSD overpriced ($7,000 over AP)?

At $7K it's not a very good idea. I suppose it depends how much that amount of money means to you. For me, the $3K deal I got during the fire sale last year was right for me because I intend to keep my Model 3 for 8-10 years, as that is how I am with cars. And if I did need to sell the car, it...

    Charging guide

How many miles do you drive per day? Better to keep it at 70-80% if you don't need the extra range most of the time. Your brake regen is slightly limited above 85% even in warm weather. Technically, the closer to 50% you keep your battery, the healthier. But I wouldn't worry about that too...

    3rd party Heads up Displays

Not sure to be honest.. but Waze does a good job using GPS, so perhaps a solution involving GPS would be possible.

    3rd party Heads up Displays

I would definitely like having one that shows the speed, and efficiency graph much like the Model S. I haven't seen anything promising though, aside for what Hudway drive is supposedly going to deliver. I've thought about having a go at it myself with a 7 inch touch screen case / Raspberry Pi...

18 Months: I must be doing something wrong

This car is truly amazing as far as basic maintenance goes. And many Model 3 parts don't seem as badly priced as other luxury cars. I would suggest bringing it in for some kind of service though (tire rotation?), as there are courtesy checks and service bulletins out that they proactively...

Would you buy a "higher end" Model 3?

I want a heated steering wheel, air suspension and power lift trunk. For those of us who bought the PUP (Premium Upgrade Package) as early reservation holders, this thread stings a bit though. Most specifically for me, I was disappointed not to get the dark Alcantara fabric in my car, and...

Price Check - Selling my '18 M3 AWD w/FSD (Florida)

None specifically, I was kind of just looking at all different used car sites. I was pricing out my 2018 RWD + FSD to sell end of last month, but plans changed & I'm keeping it. My conclusion was to start at $45K. I imagine yours being AWD you should start 2-3K higher. This may be an unpopular...

Price Check - Selling my '18 M3 AWD w/FSD (Florida)

Honestly feel it should be more with FSD... this will sell fast.

MASTER THREAD: 2019.36.2.1 - new HOLD mode and other features

If I'm having the same issue you are, this seems to happen when the sun is in front of the car. Started happening for my commute when DST ended. I just so happen to both go to work and come home with the sun blinding me and the car.

    537,xxx VINs Update

Anyone know if there is any resource that tracks physical changes to the Model 3 by date/VIN? I know some people had identified VIN ranges for older seat types & alcantara head liners before. I'm guessing nothing substantial has changed in the past year besides including the FSD computer?

Will US Tesla work in Europe?

Hey everyone, I contacted Arndt Automotive, the group who was featured in 2018 for having send 3 US Tesla Model 3 to Germany to be used in a rental fleet. In my opinion, these guys have the most experience with this arduous process. The tl;dr here is, DO NOT take a US Tesla Model 3 to Germany...
