    Yoke peeling

15 minutes before my appointment :( We had a short conversation after where service confirmed once the part has better availability, they’ll resume cosmetic replacement.

    Yoke peeling

Service confirmed the yoke horn button is gone (replaced with camera button), and the center of the yoke is the horn. Will post pics of invoice once its done. Appointment is on Tuesday and includes replacing the steering column (for an unrelated reason - makes loud grinding noise when retracting)

    Yoke peeling

My local tech looked into yoke revisions for the S, and there are A LOT—at least 9. As of writing this, he says the latest one is 'H,' but the material is NOT NEW. It is the same as the previous revisions. He checked this by inputting the VIN of an S delivered that day, and luckily it had the...

Access to evaporator coil in refreshed S

The coil is approximately 1/2 foot past the cabin air filter, behind the center console. It is not reachable without disassembling the console.

    Yoke peeling

Is Tesla pushing it back or are you asking it to be pushed back?

TIL: Plaid acceleration mode continually conditions battery and affects HVAC?

I drive in Plaid 24/7 so this thread spooked me. I made a trip down to the local service center and their message was clear: The only drive mode that affects drive train conditioning is Drag Strip Mode. Comfort, Sport, and Plaid only tune the response curves of the pedal. Comfort and Sport...

    Yoke peeling

My yoke is showing signs of peeling. Any news on this fancy new updated material? Does someone have a source to prove its even a real thing?

    Plaid HP vs. Charge %?

Does anyone know what the HP vs Charge curve looks like on the Plaid? AutoTader (via Unplugged Performance) claims that at 66% the car is down 100hp: Given that I always charge to 70%, am I driving around down on power all the time?

FYI: Tesla is physically disconnecting radar from 2021-2022 Plaid

Thanks, I found another thread on this topic: Tesla wants to physically disable Front Radar in my 2022 Model S for Tesla Vision I can confirm home link still works.

Tesla wants to physically disable Front Radar in my 2022 Model S for Tesla Vision

I had this work done today. The tech confirmed my car hadn't used the sensor once in over 3 months. It turns out it was disabled by software in some update a while ago, and it's just draining the battery without being useful.

FYI: Tesla is physically disconnecting radar from 2021-2022 Plaid

Moderator note: Edited thread title to reflect the radar units in question are being disconnected, instead of removed. I had mobile service visit me to fix the trunk lunch on my 2022 Model S Plaid. As part of the service bulletin, an entry said, "Disable and remove front radar." I asked the...

    Refresh S, Passenger Screen

Since this post was created, Munro did a full teardown of the instrument panel, and there is no screen back there.

    2022 S - Chime while driving + top-down hud?

By HUD I mean the screen behind the yoke. By top-down I’m referring to the car orientation on the HUD. Most of the time it's the car from behind. In theater mode, it's the car from the side. But after the chime, it is the car from the top.

    2022 S - Chime while driving + top-down hud?

Hey I can't figure out what this feature is from the manual. When driving slow (lets say 20kmh / 15mph), sometimes the car makes a chime (as if park or reverse gear has been selected), and the HUD changes from behind-the-car view to top-down-view. What is so important here that it is chiming?
