Update - SC is replacing my steering wheel for the stitching defect - have to wait until end of month for them to receive the part. Hoping the worm might be gone too!

Thanks all for the quick feedback. And yes I meant to say yoke not yolk (autocorrect strikes again!). And good to know about the creep mode and that the stitching issue has been reported. Hopefully they can just replace it immediately as I suspect repairing it will take forever.

just took delivery yesterday of my S LR white/black, 19" no FSD! Couple issues with car - one that needs immediate repair/replacement: 1) Yolk snake -it seems like nearly every new S has it. Is this correct? Was advised to wait until next year to replace as they will likely fix the problem...

Congrats! Very exciting. I confirmed with another SA that they are honoring the $2k ‘pre-refresh’ discount for deliveries through 9/30, which I guess means they expect to have those orders filled by then. Mine hasn’t been applied to my MVPA yet but will push to make it happen.

Looks like Chicago area and even east coast orders are getting prioritized over Bay Area. I have RN 1143, ordered early Jan, pearl White with black interior, no fsd, 19” wheels. Still no VIN and EDD 9/8-9/20!

Just want to edit that great summary with the fact that my white exterior LR , black interior wood trim, 19", no FSD, RN1143 received an EDD of Aug 8-20 today. So appears that white exteriors are getting EDDs. This could all change tomorrow and disappear, but still, it feels like progress.

Shift offered $12k more for it than Tesla offered on trade-in, and that was over KBB value by a good margin. And super easy to sell to Shift if they are active in your region.

If this uncertainty goes into 2022 (seems almost certain that it will now), how many on this thread would consider reserving a Lucid Air instead? Spoke to my SA in Burlingame - he said same thing - and multiple SAs around him agreed - havn't started making LR with 19" wheels yet. I have RN 1143 from Jan 21, and he said "october/november, could be sooner'.
