Now, in your situation I probably would stick with the OEM bracket (remove, PPF, replace). The snap plate looks kinda goofy but complies with all local laws and ordinances. Then you hide it in your trunk til next time you need to avoid a ticket.

You have a good eye! Yes, the trim piece on the driver side door is attached with adhesive and I pressed it back into place, although I may ask service department to re-do the adhesive bc it should adhere better than that. This was really the only material misalignment or fit/finish issue.
