Battery Strategy and Degradation at 10k Miles

Its refreshing to see someone here that does not simply parrot statistically insignificant data and BS YouTube advice videos. Occasionally there is good info on these forums. Just have to get past the defensive replies. I have 14000 miles and lost 10% driving these miles in temperate...

1 week after delivery couldn't be happier 2 x 2023 Model Y Performance red and blue

Pissed as Heck. I yelled at my wife, two days after buying the car. I bought a sand and paint kit fixed the curbing she did, then the next day I did it. Its unavoidable. But the online sanding and touchup kits work great.

Battery Strategy and Degradation at 10k Miles

Agree!!!! I have been conservative since buying the car in February and its gotten me nowhere. A full charge yields 286 miles on a 2023MYP. New was 306. So I lost about 20 miles in range in under a year (13000 miles) despite not using supercharger despite mostly charging to 80 and driving...

Battery Strategy and Degradation at 10k Miles

Not sure to what extent he is right based on observations of his own car. I lost 8% since Febuary and used the supercharger only 2 times for 10min each time in 13000 miles. I charge to 90 every night, now 80% at teslas new request, and drive avg speed and acceleration. Now 285/306 miles at...

Teslas weigh 5Tons. As much as a Piclup Truck. That chews up the tires. But if you hit something with it its a flippin tank.

    Model Y Performance range

MYP2023 delivere feb 23 At 100% it gives me range of 285 Miles in avg temp Michigan weather. Car has almost 13000 miles of mix hwy and city driven conservatively. I got about 30kWh/100miles since new. Anyhow about 10% loss in first 10000 miles or so seems std from what I am reading. Freeway...

Why is my car using so much battery?

For sure and I am aware of all that. Was trying to keep simple but as you indicate lots of variables. Usually I charge to 80% Car has been driven in temperate Detroit weather 70s80s this summer and its themp the readings at 100% come from. I rarely if ever floor it. My Driving is average so...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Thanks for the imput. Sry didnt realize this was a M3 post. I dont need more range was just curious. I love those fat tires and the acceleration. I will enter the service mode on the tesla menu and do one of those 24 hour battery tests. But all is green there so far. Love this forum and...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Lets start over: 285 mile range when it shows 100%. I expect some loss of range but the car is less than a year old. I also redid the energy calculation based on incar charge data later today and the numbers were better for some reason Now 12801 miles and 3799kWh or about 29.7 kW/100 miles.
