Model 3 impressions continued....
Called the service center for an update. They say it is still a problem with the 3 but only with a few Android devices. I have the Galaxy S8 which has a slightly different amperage on the hardware that is somehow not compatible with the rear usb ports... -

Model 3 Rear USB Ports and Android Phones
Can someone with an Android phone, specifically Galaxy S8, check to see if they get a charge from the rear ports on the Model 3? I have a VIN in the 2XXX and when I took it in for service months ago they did not have a solution. Are current cars shipping with working Rear USB's? Service center...- Renje
