Yeah, first one so far. Isn't it odd how the small group of non-NM-B evangelists here seem to know more than all the electricians in the nation? ;)
Not disagreeing. 55a is the limit as I read it.
FSD is much better than AP for basic driving like accelerating and stopping in traffic and lane positioning. I did not know this until I got the 30 day trial. It really is quite a nice improvement.
Just subscribed for 99 in case they decide to raise it again. Subscription starts at end of trial.
btw, I am really liking the new visualization as well, especially in full screen mode. Very cool to see how much the computer is aware of.
I just subscribed at 99 dollars. Also can confirm the paid subscription does not start until the 30 day trial ends in 3 weeks, for those who are wondering.
I figured I'd get it now before they decide to raise the price back up.
I’ve been very impressed with my 30 day trial so far. It really surprised me how much better FSD drives compared to free AP on the basic stuff like starting and stopping in traffic. Also I like the visualization a lot. Such a shock to see the price slashed to 99/mo! Now I may actually keep it.
If this is true then why is FSD performing so much better for me on highways than basic free autopilot was? There is a very noticeable improvement to basic acceleration/deceleration and following distance I am experiencing. Seems more like how a human would drive.
The off-highway improvement...
Thanks for the info. I figured it would likely revert back to the old level of performance for basic autopilot once the trial ended. Too bad.
I think it was a very smart move by Tesla to offer this free FSD trial because there are probably a lot of people like myself who never knew how much...
Just a few days ago I received the 30 day free trial of FSD and frankly I am blown away by the performance. I have never used FSD before and have been driving my 2021 MY using autopilot only for 50k miles. I am very familiar with the behavior of TACC and auto steer and know how it responds...
There are actually 3 costs Tesla lists and 0.25/mile is just one of them. The third one is likely to be much higher than this and is open ended, "cost to repair the Vehicle to Tesla’s Used Vehicle Cosmetic and Mechanical Standards."
That is really weird that a plug for a screw hole didn't work. Maybe pump it full of fix-a-flat if you are trying to get the last 2/16's out of the tires. Otherwise replace all 4.
