As a follow up, my next update did require me to connect to Wifi, so I guess only some will come OTA.

I had a trade in and was able to use a cashiers check. I just told the delivery person that's what I'd be doing and never made the final payment in the app. It was pretty easy and they never raised an issue with using the cashiers check.

It downloaded on its own and I was able to install via the app. FWIW I went from 2024.2.100 to 2024.8.8

I didn't think there were this many individual investors holding ~$85k of TSLA. If you've invested this much in the company then you probably deserve first dibs on the CT.

I got my vin on the 18th and got a txt this morning saying the truck is ready for pickup :)

No txt or email. I just happened to log into the app and there was a message saying there was a change in my order. I had to agree to something about autopilot / vision, and saw the VIN. I check pretty much every day, so I assume its all correlated.

It will be interesting to see what happens over the next two weeks. There are a bunch of people including myself that are slated for "Jan - Mar" deliveries. Given it takes 2-3 weeks from VIN to delivery we should see VINs soon. Then again, this will be my 4th Tesla and they have missed 2 of 3...

Do people with Jan - Mar delivery estimates think we'll actually see them before April 1st? If they are sending out more order invites then perhaps that is good news?
