Did supercharger network influence your buying decision

I would have zero confidence in an electric car if it wasn't a Tesla. I go on rock climbing trips to the Peak District / Derbyshire / Dorset, and more often than not it is a day trip from London during the summer months (300 miles-ish return). If there aren't any superchargers in the motorway...

Hourly car insurance, e.g. Cuvva or Veygo

Will try this next (I'm with Direct Line). Probably worth it if I'm going on a week-long holiday somewhere, but not for sharing the load on an ad hoc trip.

Hourly car insurance, e.g. Cuvva or Veygo

Yep, that's the response a few of the companies gave, otherwise it was just "No, can't offer you a quote right now.".

Hourly car insurance, e.g. Cuvva or Veygo

Has anyone tried lending their mate their Tesla and used one of the hourly car insurance providers, e.g. Cuvva, or Veygo (from Admiral)? Basically my friend tried a bunch of these on my TM3 LR over the weekend and all of them refused to quote / rejected. Not sure if previous threads have...

    Does anyone wave anymore?

I think we do occasionally wave... not that easy to clock though if not going slowly and trying to dodge other people!

    Does anyone wave anymore?

Got my first wave today. A gorgeous blue Model S waved at me in N4 London. Waved back slightly late as I was taken aback by how good it looked in the sun.

    Excuses for a drive

"Taking it for a drive in the rain, dear, I just want to see if it leaks. It probably won't, but you never know."

    Yet another rejection story (Leeds)

It's deeply irritating that we enjoy the technological proposition (in particular, the looks, the performance, software, and the Supercharger network), but we have no choice other than Tesla at this point. It's as if the iPhone came out, was buggy as hell, but there wasn't an Android operating...

First weekend drive shenanigans + a restrained rant

In short, life happened. To be more fair to myself I only missed the paint defects on the day of delivery, and not other minor issues listed above (door and charging port alignments), and then I missed the ceramic coat people missing the paint defects. :( In terms of my bother-o-meter, the...

First weekend drive shenanigans + a restrained rant

*Shrugs* Being slightly facetious in any event. People should forgive a bit of scepticism on the part of new people dipping their toes with Tesla anyway. IMHO that's the right attitude to take when buying a new consumer product that doesn't have proper competitors. Yes the products are...

Gah. Well, I learn something new about the car every day!

First weekend drive shenanigans + a restrained rant

So, today I drove from London and into the Chilterns...and a few things happened. 1. The rear licence plate, which was stuck on with adhesive to the (rattling) licence plate holder, fell off somewhere on the M1. It had fallen off whilst we were parked near a village pub, and I suppose the hot...

    The M3 Photo Thread

Here's my ceramic coated lady (+ centre console PPF + vinyl plate), just collected from Azuri today... still deciding on a name for her!

    Misaligned charging port cover

Am definitely brave enough... but I'm not sure what I'd do then, wiggle it back into alignment? Ah, I think I'll let Tesla deal with it.

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

Pay £1k and wait a day. Hopefully, on the day after, when you look at the balance owed on your reservation page on the Tesla website, you'll see that they've applied £1k to your balance. I paid the PCP deposit in two instalments, £10k, followed by £1k the day after, as I couldn't be arsed to...
