Remote S: Tesla app for Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

Ken, it's not the app's fault and it's not necessarily the case where "Tesla Servers are Busy" either. If the car cannot connect to the severs for whatever reason, it can't let you in with the app. I was on a recent trip and could not access my car to see the charging status--and this was...

Remote S: Tesla app for Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned or suggested this, since this thread is getting very long, but how about some way to use Siri to open the trunk? On many cars now, you can swing your foot under the rear bumper to open the rear hatch, which is convenient if your hands are full. I'm trying to...

    Salvage or repair my Tesla

Dwdnjck, interesting. I wonder how your shop was able to get parts, since Tesla's policy is to not ship any parts to any unauthorized repair shop

    Salvage or repair my Tesla

Keep in mind that Tesla has an incentive to support the authorized body shop. If they think it is fair, even if it is on the high-end, they will stand behind it. Tesla believes that body shops should be paid a much higher hourly rate than what insurance companies are used to. There are more...

    Salvage or repair my Tesla

I would take the car to another certified shop and get a second estimate. I was involved in a front end collision a few months ago and my car did have structural damage on top of needing a new front right fender, hood, headlights, front bumper, frunk, frunk liner, both radiator/fan units, etc...

It's that time again - embarrassing loud AC compressor

If you do a lot of sitting in traffic then your Wh/mi will go up. I also don't crank my AC up super high. But I'm in NJ so I do use it all the time because it's humid and hot here!

It's that time again - embarrassing loud AC compressor

FlasherZ I have a 2010 Prius. It's not only stronger but the air blows better than the Tesla as well. And it's super quiet. I will ask for the fix next time I'm at the SC. Seems like the way to go. But yes, the AC has negligible effect on the Model S' range compared to the heater. I've been...

It's that time again - embarrassing loud AC compressor

The air conditioner in my Prius is much quieter and much more effective! The loud buzzing at start up is really annoying and not right at all. And it comes and goes as the car rocks when driving over bumpy surfaces, which indicates that it is due to less than ideal positioning of the compressor...

Warped brake rotors with aftermarket rims installed

It seems like the rotors could be warped due to the wheel not having the cutout for the T45 head in the rotor--did you see this thread? Vibration while breaking with iforged 21 wheels

    ICEd Picture Thread

On a recent visit to the JFK Supercharger Fortunately the bus driver was still there and he had no idea what he was doing. Turned out to be a nice guy and was really interested in the car. Bought me coffee after I have him a full tour.

    ICEd Picture Thread

At the JFK supercharger during a recent visit. The bus driver was luckily still in the bus and actually had no idea what he was doing. Nice guy and loved the car. Gave him the whole tour of it and he bought me a coffee.
