For what it’s worth, I traded in a LR RWD for the AWD P and my insurance only went up $2 a month.

AWD P! No brainer! The acceleration never gets old.

That email is correct. I think their hours end earlier on weekends so there may be a slightly delayed response. You need to give an approval letter showing the terms and Be sure they match the lightstream terms.

I wouldn’t say the “hoops” are too difficult. All you have to do is get an approval letter stating the terms, adjust the lightstream terms to match and email the letter requesting the match. I got a response in less than 15 min. Also, they only asked for a pay stub. Was unsecured so they...

I called the customer service line and they were able to have it immediately pushed to my account. Needed it for a last minute 4/30 referral to get free supercharging before it went away!

My situation is that the Tesla offer is now $16K, which will save me ~$1K in sales tax. So it'd be the equivalent of selling my car to a private party for $17K. I think if I sold to a private party, I could get $19.5K. so basically I think I could get $3.5K more private party but it'd be more...

Thanks - you saved me the hassle of trying to sell this privately to MAYBE make 1-2K or likely break even. I'll go with the trade-in route and make my life a lot easier.

You bring up a good point, I didn't realize I'd have to pay on the private party sale as well. That makes a ton of sense...now my potential 3K profit seems more like $1K and doesn't seem like much of the trouble.
