Do you use rubbing alcohol pads directly on the seat and then wipe away?

My March 2017 X actually has very little wind noise, even at 80+ mph. It's quieter than my Nissan LEAF! It's just that annoying whistle that rears its ugly head on _SOME_ highways and at _SOME_ weird times.

Last night I went on a test drive on 3 or 4 different highways, traveling from 60mph to 75mph with and without drafting a vehicle in front. I can see why the service center wasn't able to reproduce it. On the main highway next to my service center, I could not get it to make the whistling noise...

Applied more masking tape last night all around the outer frame of the windows. Noise is still there! Next I'm going to tape around the entire windshield. Maybe a leak / gap there?

Should I be trying to perhaps apply masking tape from INSIDE the car vs. outside?

Thank you for the suggestions. I have tried the masking tape approach and just can't seem to narrow down the source of the whistle. I've also inspected all of the seals and don't see any that are bent or otherwise twisted. I've scheduled an appointment with the SC, but I'm going to try to keep...

@appleguru that is so frustrating! And my understanding is that the whole dash has to be ripped apart and trim pieces removed (and potentially damaged) in order to replace the screen/MCU. I'm guessing they would have to do the same thing to fix the poor alignment at the top? In another thread...

@appleguru Ugh, that's so unfortunate. :-( I wonder if they have to tear down the entire dash again to re-align it?

For those that got a new touchscreen replacement, is it properly aligned at the top? The loaner that I'm currently driving has the yellow bar across AND the top left portion of the screen shows more black area than the right side, making it look like the screen is crooked and not aligned properly.

@appleguru Darn, that's unfortunate about the trim piece and rubbing steering noise. I'm assuming you'll take it back in for those two issues?
