I was under the impression that there were separate teams trained to install solar roof vs. panels. Although I guess it makes sense that the solar roof installers were probably previous panel installers.

You can look up the tesla HIC number (their license number) and then you can go to either the citys permitting department website and search for any installs they have done. You can also use Buildzoom For example here is the page for Mass. There are about 10 solar roofs in the entire state.

I dont understand this. I would have been perfectly happy if I was on a waitlist or have paid a deposit until they were ready or closer to ready to provide accurate pricing. I did not ask to be in a contract , in fact I would have preferred not to be -but I am and have been for over a year...
