Reserving your Model 3 (official Tesla blog)

    Make it $115,000,000! Amazing.

Tesla Model S/Model X Battery Data

Yes, but it's incorrect, taken directly from the 85 models (not sure why)

Tesla Model S/Model X Battery Data

It seems you used range numbers for the model S 90kWh cars that are identical to their 85kWh counterparts, they should be 6% higher (I believe Tesla now advertises them on the website)

Chassis CAN Logging To ASCII Text Plus Graphing

That's what I was referring to as well, but isn't it the inherent torque limit of the motors that is producing this plateau, and not necessarily the traction which would be the logical reason for Tesla to limit the torque.

Chassis CAN Logging To ASCII Text Plus Graphing

How much more torque could those motors produce at higher RPMs? Sorry for the possibly dumb question, but I thought the motors had a physical limit on torque (as well as power), as displayed in the Tesla specs, isn't it what the flat torque curve at lower RPMs is about? Or are you referring to...

Any performance difference between 85D and P85D in standard sport mode?

Actually, the difference between the P85D and 85D at high speed is less significant than at lower speeds, as the higher peak torque of the P85D only manifests itself until 30mph or so, after that peak power will prevail, 469 (with a bit more weight) vs 422, higher power, but not much so. If you...

Stop the Press! Tesla announces REAL HP numbers for P85D and P90L

Out of curiosity, what would that RPM be? Anyway, you're implying that motor hp could be used as a proxy for torque. Let's assume that's true. Tesla already communicates the max torque, so what's the added value of that motor hp number? None (apart for maybe expected increased power when a...

    Switzerland

Same here, I used a public charging station once while I still only had a domestic plug at home, since I installed a red industrial one (16A), never used anything else than the superchargers, a game changer!

    EU Market Situation and Outlook

Another reason might be that it is linked with the start of the D-models deliveries, as Swiss buyers are very keen on four-wheel-drive versions. I know a few people that were holding off buying a Tesla due to the RWD nature of the older versions.

Tesla blog post: AWD Motor Power and Torque Specifications

Whoever banned wk057, please undo this ridiculous move ASAP, there were no (public at least) out of line messages, he's actually been, together with sorka and others, extremely patient in deconstructing the recurring, uneducated and/or downright obfuscating (;-) ) attempts at defending Tesla's...

Tesla blog post: AWD Motor Power and Torque Specifications

No, you are. Many P85D owners do not understand why they paid so much more money for car hp (i.e. power that actually gets used to propel the car) which is not that much higher than the P85. Those are average customers equating hp with power at the wheels + some loss along the way, not some...

[updated with *] P85D 691HP should have an asterisk * next to it.. "Up to 691HP"

Interesting, base option only? Could that mean that Ludicrous mode would improve 0-60 acceleration by 0.6 seconds (i.e. 0.3 + 0.3) ??? By the way, I still don't understand why they wouldn't use the same methodology for all models, it would (cosmetically) improve the performance of all other...
