Ordered my MS on 5/26 still no VIN assigned. Is this normal?

My soon to be trade-in Model X got rear ended. I‘ve ordered the new Model S and waiting on delivery. My MX will be in the shop for potentially few weeks. Am I right to assume the value Tesla offered me and I accepted prior to the accident is voided? Should I cancel my order?

My 90% is 254 miles. My 100% is 281 miles. I have 42,000 miles on the car. This is a drop from 261 and 290 when I had 17,000 miles on it 18 months ago.

My wife had her MS 100D for 7 weeks now and she turned the smart preconditioning on since her schedule is fixed. The car doesn’t seem to learn her schedule (8-4 weekdays) yet and I wonder if we are missing something here. Thanks in advance.

Vampire drain was never an issue for me and I never paid attention to it especially with 100 kWh battery. The only time I turned the energy saving on was when I left my X at the airport for ten days, and it turned out that I didn’t have to.

My wife’s new Model S doesn’t have the Energy Saving with always connected option. It runs the same software (2018.48.12) as my 2017 Model X which has it. It takes forever to wake up the S from the app whereas it is instant with the X. Is there any work around to keep it connected?

Creep is what came to my mind and I remember playing with it for a while when I first got the car. But I can think of Chill mode, Range mode, FWD height, energy/distance display and Navigate on Autopilot settings to be frequently used and nice to have a shortcut for it.

Agree. Volvo for example, when you press the seat icon a pop-up window appears and you can select the heated steering wheel as you can see in the picture. I hope Tesla updates their UI one day to include something similar because the way it is now is a bit retarded.
