So I just rang to check if my 70D (with 75D upgrade option was eligible) and was told that only vehicles currently 75D are eligible I mentioned that owners who had purchased the battery upgrade were subsequently eligible and was told "sometimes people on forums lie so I wouldn't put much stock...

Anyone have tips for removing the trim piece at the back of the mirror to install this? I'm pulling down pushing my finger through a gap in the top middle center but it doesn't seem to budge. Is there a special trick to this?

I'd be interested in hearing from people who do the subscription option -- I was deciding between that and renting a garage spot nearby but wasn't too sure how much of a hassle it ends up being.
