I have a similar issue with my recent delivery and I've been trying to figure out if this is something that Tesla can address. Our Model 3 and Y do not have these types of issues so its a bit disappointing given the price point of this car.

Never done any PPF on any of my leases. Typically if the bump or dent is less than the size of a quarter it’s considered wear and tear (with most manufacturers). Cost of a decent PPF will be $2k+. For that price you can fix any dent, paint the front of the car and still have some money to spare.

I applied for a loan right after I ordered my car. Most credit unions will give you a pre approval for 30 days, some will do 60. You can only complete the paperwork for funding once the purchase agreement is available after a VIN is assigned. (going through the process now myself)
