    Sleepover with my dream car

Glad to hear you like the AWD, overnight is nice. Was there a mileage limit? Was P3D available for overnight? My test drive was P3D on the 90 fwy, amazing, not overnight but took it over 90 and it felt like nothing. I ordered mine that day.

Tesla is canceling some deliveries which was scheduled at Dec 31 2019 8PM!

Just got back from Bay Area. On Christmas Day, drove up from LA on hwy 5 and counted at least 20 trucks with 8 new model 3 each headed south. Good luck to those waiting, they are trying.

This truck design had better be a joke....

Great spec and price. Looks?? Idk....wtf.....I thought it was a joke too. Idk I will probably buy one. Make it prettier and I will definitely buy one. $50k for AWD, near bulletproof, yeah I probably buy one....

    Window seal normal?

Nope. That looks bad. Huge length of gap. Something is not seated. Mine had local gaps, more like pinches of less than 1 inch. SC said they will fix mine at next visit.

SR owners, tell us about your car!

Thanks for all your replies. This thread is sorta old. Since original post, I’ve ordered and taken delivery of a SR. My first 3 was an SR+, which had a faulty touchscreen, so I had to return it. My SR only has 220 range, when delivered on 5/30, made 5/23. I’ve yet tested the 5.6 sec time or the...

    Rear deck cutout

Wow! 2 things: How did you order, get made a mid-range in June 2019? Thought they stopped making them? And then there’s the no cutout! There goes the needing to move air theory... My 5/23/2019 born SR has cutout with mesh cover, so did my 4/2019 born SR+ I returned.

    NEMA 14-50 Out of stock?

How far away are you to the delivery center? Stop by and ask for one. Likely they will have some. Mine didn’t come with car and my delivery advisor said “oh I got a few to give out”.

Why am I not getting full regen?

Your wife’s seat, steering wheel and mirror position same as yours? She must be as tall as you?

Model 3 owner in a loaner Model S: impressions

Haha, yes I have it on comfort setting, but the overall steering wheel diameter is smaller. The S has a normal size steering wheel. I’m accustomed to luxury car steering effort! Took my parents in the P90D for ride in ludicrous mode. Launched it, they both said “oh no, this is no good, waay...

Model 3 owner in a loaner Model S: impressions

I rather like the S, seating position and overall driving effort. Model 3 is sporty, low seat position and heavy steering effort. I’m getting old and lazy, so the S not a bad choice for me. I might be looking into buying an S in the future maybe. Can’t wait to see what the refresh S looks like!

How much to buy Autopilot on SR+?

That’s what my SR had to pay for autopilot prior to delivery. $3000. Since you’re a SR+ after delivery, sounds about right. SR+ with standard AP at 39500 was a good deal. I almost bought when SR+ first came out at 37000-37500 without AP, until I took test drive and realized I wanted AP.

Model 3 owner in a loaner Model S: impressions

One thing I noticed not mentioned above is the normal size steering wheel on the S vs the tiny Indy car sized model 3 steering wheel. Gosh model 3 has a tiny wheel! Takes so much effort to steer, vs on model S. Going from a 3 to a S, it feels like a minivan at first. My current loaner P90D...

Tesla service center no loaner Tesla anymore?

Ok finally they got me a loaner today. ‘16 S P90D. It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t an Enterprise, has dealer plates on it. Poor model S, such a nice car, being a loaner it’s well worn. 43K on it, scratches on hood, worse shape than my 100k Toyota. My new model 3 needs battery pack replacement and it...

Tesla service center no loaner Tesla anymore?

I only got $100 per day, it barely covers home to office for me. It may be better than loaner for you, but not me. I prefer the independence of not waiting for Uber, which for Uber black takes over 10minutes when I tried it. Hard to pick up kids, grocery shopping after work, on Uber.

Tesla service center no loaner Tesla anymore?

Thanks, anyone else? In California maybe?
