    Non-owner config invites have begun!

I second this, the wait only seems to be harder after configuring and waiting for a VIN. It took exactly 4 weeks from order to VIN. Delivery however is supposed to be next week ;)

California VINs: are you still waiting?

It’s quite interesting how much faster the Sport wheels seem to be getting delivered compared to then aero’s. I got my vin exactly 4 weeks after configuring, and you already had your car in less time.

    VIN Colors

MSM / Aero VIN received overnight, 114xx (hope that helps fill the void you mentioned)

    VIN Assignment

Just got my VIN as well 114xx, MSM/Aero, San Diego... now just waiting for the call....

California VINs: are you still waiting?

I really hope you’re right (and that MSM is included. Are they doing group orientation / deliveries? If so, it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

    VIN Assignment

I’m hoping that’s me... configured (midnight silver, Aeros) on 2/22 and nothing but crickets since :)

    No recent VIN assignments?

I agree, with one caveat. They still do have to deliver before quarter end. While many people will drop everything to get their car, some might not be able to react so quickly.

Speculation: configuration queue for non owner line waiters

That was my takeaway as well. It appears the dealer part is just being able to apply the money at time of purchase rather than waiting?

Speculation: configuration queue for non owner line waiters

Unfortunately, Tesla is not on their list of participating dealers. If I’m reading this correctly, it seems you can still get preapproval, but not all parts of the program apply?

    No recent VIN assignments?

That’s my configuration as well, but configured on 2/22. I wonder if there’s any way I could be in the same “batch” if that’s truly how they’re doing this.
