Why does the Model 3 not have privacy glass?

That's interesting and seems like the real answer to this! Turns out US laws allow for more tinting on SUVs vs. sedans:

Wiki Restricted UK Supercharger sites - parking restrictions / registering / pay to park etc

This site is so quiet now since the parking charges have been introduced, despite competitive price/kWh. I wonder if Tesla is aware or can do anything about it.

Thanks, can confirm 45 minutes was fine with no need to do anything. "Free passage" smiley face shows at the gate on exit.

The signage says 30 minutes free. Can we assume if the gate opens, you're in the clear? Would you be prompted for payment at the gate if going over the free time?

    Tesla Price Reductions

Wonder if we would get the new HIghland Model 3 if ordering at the very end of this promotion, or possibly delay delivery a bit to get it and still get 0%.

    Westfield London Free Parking

My Tesla (22 reg) does not get recognised by the tablet either. Maybe I shouldn't have registered for smart parking.

    No home charging / WiFi

Also many Tesla superchargers have WiFi if you are charging there, although you can't charge during installation

    No home charging / WiFi

You can use your phone as a personal WiFi hotspot to do software updates wherever you have good mobile coverage, subject to your data cap. Once the update has downloaded, you don't need to sit in the car anymore and can let it install and walk away.

Superchargers - Cheaper Electricity out of hours

My bad, just looks like the usual peak/off-peak hours. That said, you don't get charged idle fees if the supercharger is <50% full. I have left my car plugged in to Westfield late night while at the cinema, for example, and not been charged any fees since I was the only one using the...

Superchargers - Cheaper Electricity out of hours

Interesting wording. "Overnight" implies you can leave your car overnight with no idle fees, which is not the typical use case for a supercharger.

Heathrow Supercharger - is it 34p or 66p KWh?

I believe there's a mix of v2 and v3 superchargers there. They are not signposted but you can tell by the cabinet design and voltage label. I wonder if v3 is charging 66p and v2 34p. Last time I went it was 25p for a v2 150kW charge.

Is now the right time to swap??

Makes sense. I guess there was a time in the past when you were charged for kWh added to the battery rather than kWh added to the car. With SuC you're now paying for your car's battery heating/cooling and other auxiliary usage, but not the Supercharger or cable's inefficiencies.

Is now the right time to swap??

Is this still true in the UK? It looks like (possibly US only) they started charging for all energy usage in Supercharging a while ago. Tesla updates Supercharger billing to add cost of electricity use for other than charging

    Permanently Disable Tilt/Intrustion

Update: Tesla Mobile Service replaced the rear overhead console unit where the sensors are. This seems to have fixed the issue (no alarm in 5 days so far) First time using service and pretty impressed. Conveniently arranged on app and done at home, free of charge and was complete in about 15...
