    "Parking Brake Needs Service"

There are legal remedies, that would likely make you whole, in case that were to prove necessary. Your Rights Under Maryland's Lemon Law Scannerman

Besides SCN, what features (or lack of in 3 ) would make u jump ship from a 3 to a competing brand?

The following are basically listed in the order of importance. (Some of the following may adversely affect the decision to acquire my first Tesla). The bold faced items are very important to me. XM Inability to purchase SAS without purchasing dual motor drive (if this is the case)? HUD Knobs...

NO mechanical handle for rear doors. Seriously?

Gee whiz, isn't that how knobs and buttons worked. Sometimes less is more! Scannerman

NO mechanical handle for rear doors. Seriously?

I would be shocked if NHTSA would allow a vehicle to be sold, without some reasonable means of opening the rear doors in an emergency. Scannerman

    Tax Credit Clarification

I would start a new thread, but sadly do not know how! But this seems close to the topic at hand, not to mention your expertise. My question is as follows. If two unmarried individuals shared the title while purchasing a new M3, could they somehow share the Federal Tax Incentive. Suppose one...

Smart Air suspension confirmed for Model 3

I think your point is well taken, and in the long run it is hard to place a value on customer loyalty. Sometimes the benefits from being too strategically correct can create a long term negative effect. Scannerman

Smart Air suspension confirmed for Model 3

The quote is "linked...', not bundled. It appears to me that you may have jumped the gun, as to exactly what Elon meant. I for one, would love to know for sure, how to interpret his tweet. Scannerman

Smart Air suspension confirmed for Model 3

Heavy duty trucks use air routinely, in the seat suspension, sometimes in the suspension of the cab on the chasis, often in the suspension of the truck tractor chasis, and also trailer suspensions. Anecdotally, I don't recall hearing about an excessive number of issues. Scannerman

Smart Air suspension confirmed for Model 3

It appears to me that Elon is somewhat concerned, about the effect of providing information, which might prompt a large segment of the reservation holders to significantly delay delivery, (while waiting for certain future options). Scannerman

Smart Air suspension confirmed for Model 3

Do you think when Elon said "linked...", he meant in terms of the date when it is first offered, or for SAS to only be available as part of a package which includes dual motor? Scannerman

Article states M3 maintenance costs highest

The increased use of steel (on the M3), versus aluminum (on the S/X) could also reduce relative insurance costs. Scannerman

Effect of speed, air conditioning, and wheels on range

This is very helpful, thanks. Would you suppose that the percentage increase in cost per mile, would be very nearly the same, as the percentage decrease in range (under the circumstances you proposed)? Scannerman
