Bought FSD, but X is stuck on 2020 software build without it

Thx ya'll for the guidance. I think biggest decision point is whether to lose my free premium connectivity and FM radio for MCU-2, or just patiently wait until 2024 or something when FSD is released to MCU-1 cars...

Bought FSD, but X is stuck on 2020 software build without it

I'm on MCU 1. So is it generally accepted that customers who paid for FSD and have MCU 1 have to pay to upgrade to MCU 2 to get the feature?

Bought FSD, but X is stuck on 2020 software build without it

I'm in a frustrating situation - We have a 2017 Model X that we bought with FSD when we ordered it. We got great service from Tesla in 2020 to do the free hardware upgrade to 3.0. Software updates used to roll in regularly. But the car has been stuck on 2020.48.37.* software builds all year...

No auto lane change on 520 bridge with V9?

No - from right-most lane to middle lane. Eventually did that manually, and then tried to go back to right-most lane. Failed each time.

No auto lane change on 520 bridge with V9?

Overall I’m having a great experience with v9 of the software (2018.39.6 to be exact). It was super solid in autopilot down to the airport last week, many great auto lane changes in not-simple traffic conditions. But I took the 520 bridge yesterday afternoon in light traffic and couldn’t get a...

    Supercharger - Ellensburg, WA

For I-90 travel, it would be very nice if they put a SuperCharger in Moses Lake. Then most of us could just skip Ellensburg and have a faster charge from a lower SoC. (And without hypermiling to get to Ritzville)

How frequent is everyone seeing 3s in the Seattle area?

I think I’m now seeing more 3s than Model S on a given day. Impressive growth!

    Montana Road Trip

After 2,149 miles, 798 kWh of energy, 11 supercharges, and 6 destination charges, our Big Montana Road Trip came to completion when we arrived back in Seattle last night. We supercharged on the way out of Boise, with some weirdness there. Starting with a 17% SoC, I watched the charge rate hit...

    Montana Road Trip

Sorry we missed that! It was pretty windy over the bridge, which may have been the cause

    Montana Road Trip

Had a long but scenic drive yesterday on the first leg back to Seattle. We took a slightly longer route at the beginning, following the Snake River down to Alpine WY and then along Palisades Reservoir. Totally worth it to see the river raging through the valley, and somewhere around two-dozen...

    Montana Road Trip

We had a string of days with poor internet connectivity, so a few things to catch up on: Friday: Drove the southern loop of Yellowstone, through Lake Village, West Thumb, and then up to Old Faithful. The Norris Geyser Basin was so interesting the day before that we decided to hike it again. The...

    Montana Road Trip

Today we drove around the north loop of Yellowstone, and it exceeded all expectations. As we had hoped this time of May kept the crowds and traffic very low, so we could see almost everything we wanted without any craziness. We saw fantastic natural scenery of mountains, chasams, rivers...

    Montana Road Trip

There is! But destination charger seemed easier. As great as the X is, we were tired of hanging out in the car, and also didn’t want to be rushed at dinner. So we took our time and decompressed while the car charged at 72amps. Also, probably a sign of too much worrying, but I’ve noticed how...

    Montana Road Trip

Sadly we’ll miss that - future trip! We’re spending Friday night at the Old Faithful lodge, then headed south out f the park for two nights in Grand Teton, in Coulter Bay Village. Plan is to then work our way back to Seattle via southern Idaho.
