Has anyone gone from a 911 to a Plaid?

I'm not talking about a road course. It's been a few years, but I'm a trained track instructor (car as well as motorcycle) and I have plenty of experience driving in all types of environments. No matter how you look at it, the Tesla is a very heavy vehicle. If you're driving on a public road...

Has anyone gone from a 911 to a Plaid?

[EDIT: Looks like you already made a decision. I like it!] I have a 2018 911 GT3 (991.2 generation) and a Model S Long Range (2022 model year, non-Plaid). They are COMPLETELY different vehicles and I'm going to assume anyone who has experience/own these vehicles has a full understanding of...

    Model S Cheap?

As others have said, this is a reasonable price. 52K miles and out of warranty. Might be a good option to explore a 3rd party warranty for a few thousand dollars for some piece of mind and pick up the car. It is a great vehicle.

Yoke Steering Wheel please post a picture if you dont see the Yoke-Worm

Mine is a 2022 and barely able to be seen. In person, I don't really see it but in this photo you can barely make it out. VIN ends in 490920

Performance of Refreshed MSLR vs. others

Hard to describe without feeling it yourself. It isn't a slouch, but it isn't that impressive. Does it accelerate faster than a standard family sedan? For sure. But nothing Earth shattering. Above 120ish, is where "real" sports cars really start to shine. I have a naturally aspirated 911...

Model S/X Round Steering Wheel & Retrofit

People do realize that the round wheel is simply that, right? The functionality (no stalks, turn signals/horn by your thumbs) remain the same. So if THAT'S what you don't like about the yoke, well I got some bad news for you. I don't mind the yoke. I just don't like the horn placement. It...

    Yet another "in spec" question

That's certainly not in-spec and I've had smaller issues on my Model S remediated. I'm not even that picky as I get older, but the OP's picture of the bumper misalignment would seriously annoy me. If my mom (who doesn't care at all about cars) can notice it, then it isn't "in-spec". :P

Tesla TV apps (Netflix etc) frame rate = bad.

Okay, well let me rephrase. I'm an audiophile and into home theater as well. Does the Tesla screen rival a very good TV designed for home theater? It certainly does not. Can I tell the difference between a good TV and my Tesla screen when streaming Netflix or higher quality YouTube? A...

    New changes to Model S

Yeah, probably nothing at all. HOWEVER, Tesla makes changes all the time. Maybe this new iteration has some sort of wiring behind the airbag to support horn functionality. I know the old ones did not (Munro confirmed it). Impossible to know until someone gets their hands on it. Still smart...

Tesla TV apps (Netflix etc) frame rate = bad.

You may be in the minority here, as I've never had a problem. Nobody I personally know has problems either. This is also the first post I've personally seen about this issue. Some questions/comments: - Are you sitting on your driveway on your home wifi? Maybe the signal isn't that strong and...

    New changes to Model S

Has anyone actually confirmed what "higher thermal capability brake calipers" mean? I'm likely wrong, but it is hard to believe there is a significant difference like additional pistons, etc. Otherwise they would clearly say it. This sounds like a marketing phrase for something simple like...

S LR / Plaid tinted roof makes it useless

That's interesting. I have a 2022 Model S, and the glass roof is extremely dark, much darker than I anticipated prior to receiving the car. During a hot summer day, I can look up DIRECTLY at the sun with no issue. Not even a tiny amount of discomfort or "I shouldn't be looking at the sun". I...

Anyone installed refreshed oem spoiler on older Model S?

I recently installed the RPM Plaid replica on my 2022 Long Range. According to the install video from RPM, the Plaid spoiler can fit on the refresh and pre-refresh models. Yes, but note the OEM one is matte. RPM offers both gloss and matte. If you want to mirror OEM, make sure you get the...

Is there a way to move the turning screens higher nearer the top of the display. 2022 Model S

When you say "turning screens", are you referencing the camera view when using turn signals? Currently they show on the lower middle of the center screen. I do agree that it isn't a very good area since you have to take your eyes far off from the road to check it. I would have thought there...

Teslas in Calif. with no front plate: Question

I will chime in here. Personally I do not like the look of vehicles with front plates. I've lived in New Jersey for over 30 years and now California for the last 10-12. Both states require a front plate. I have NEVER had a front plate on any of my vehicles and I can count on one hand the...
