Wiki Model X Refresh Issues Thread

I had an issue with the driver's side door button opening -- just got fixed after 3 months. I already traded in the car, honestly don't know how people pay $100k+ for a car and it's this poorly built and loud inside.

What are these that my car came with?

I just tried to click one on -- they fit! So that answers that... I'm assuming they are for efficiency/range purposes?

What are these that my car came with?

I do have the 22” wheels though.

What are these that my car came with?

No clue — they are pretty small (hand sized) so not like anything I’m familiar with.

What are these that my car came with?

I got a bunch of these (attached) in my cars frunk when it was delivered. I have no idea what they are. It says on the box, “New Turbine Aero Kit”, but for the life of me I can’t figure it out. Appreciate any thoughts.

On course for reaching 1M cars is what Elon says -- not what they've actually shipped. Again, I take with a grain of salt what he says, as FSD has been "6 months away" for years already, along with the CyberTruck etc. Almost *every* statistic he's put out has been missed, most by a huge margin...

I think this is a very optimistic view of the environment, considering Tesla didn't even ship 1M cars last year, and Ford more than quadruples that. Even BMW more than triples it. But I'm patient to wait and see, I don't believe the hype Elon drives, I believe in reality and that the Cybertruck...

I think you underestimate the reach and manufacturing capability of the traditional automakers. Panasonic and LG are the ones to partner with for battery technology, and while Tesla has an early benefit, the scale of BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and anybody else dwarfs the possibilities of Tesla long...

Sure, to the best of my ability -- there isn't a lot of roll in the MX, so on that front it's quite planted, but I recognize that it is a 5k lb car so its "tossability" is far lower than I may have thought. My 2017 Q7 was only a few hundred pounds off of the MX's weight though, and felt far more...

    Model X First Reviews

I picked up our MX LR yesterday, black with black interior, 7 seat configuration and 22" wheels (my wife liked the look better). We came to this from a 2017 Audi Q7 where the third row was used regularly, for reference. In terms of power, there's no contest -- it's phenomenally fast, and I...

Model X owners - what other vehicles did you consider?

I just got my MX LR, but honestly if the Genesis GV80 becomes an EV, I'll trade this in for that in a heartbeat. For the price I'm paying the at a 'luxury' pricepoint, there are almost zero luxury amenities in the car. No rear sunshades, no ambient lighting, no CarPlay (yes, it's better), and...

Do I need the keyfob on the 2022 refresh MX?

I just walk away and the car locks, I walk up and it unlocks. What more do I need than that ;)

Do I need the keyfob on the 2022 refresh MX?

I carry the card as a backup, I just don’t see much need for the fob at all if that’s the case.

Wiki Model X Refresh Issues Thread

I took delivery of my MX LR today, seems I am lucky in that I see no issues (so far!) -- I went through the checklist and all seems well. That said, I'm missing the 14-50 NEMA adapter from the mobile charger, not sure if they stopped including it? I ordered the car a long while ago so figured...

    Model X Delivery Checklist

I picked up my MX LR today, seems I am missing the NEMA 14-50 adaptor and only have the standard plug in the mobile connector. Is this normal or should I submit a service ticket?
