Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

Glad my wheel and tire fitment is good after seeing some of these :)

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

In the past I would drop the start/finish line pin out around where the finish was, hit start, do my run and hit stop. Most of the run would be recorded as lap 0 and it may flip to lap 1 before my run was over depending on where the pin was, but it didn't matter as I didn't care about the lap...

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

First event on the RE71RS's yesterday. Holy *sugar*, this car has never felt this good, way more predictable than the RT660's. Was back in the fight for FTD for the first time in over a year, ran a 27.256 but whacked a cone. It wouldn't have mattered anyway as Jay went out and laid down a flyer...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

12.3 is an improvement in a lot of places... but this particular turn by the office is.... something....

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Got to test on the way to work this morning. A vast improvement over v11 in smoothness however the speed stuff is absolutely infuriating and it still decides to use shoulders as turn lanes sometimes. In 2.5 years of testing this is the first release that gives me a glimmer of hope.

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

Tires are ready. Season starts 4/14, excited to give these a try after the misery of RT660’s

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

Problem I had with 18’s was finding something wide and not super short. Also in the RE71RS there’s not much price difference. Kuhmo V730 there’s a wider gap

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

Time to order tires for this season. Think I’m going RE71RS, just debating on size between the 275/35/19 and 285/35/19. The 275 is 10.9” according to tirerack and the 285 is 11.4”. The 265 RT660’s I had before were 10.9” and I ended up running a 5mm spacer in the front to gain a little extra...

Model y OEM steering wheel fit model 3?

You can make it work. You need a heated wheel retrofit board and a CANServer... I've had a heated wheel in my 2019 for a year now and it's been fantastic https://carnetics.myshopify.com/en-us/products/heated-steering-retrofit-control-board

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

265/35/19 RT660 on a 19x10 +35 on stock performance rotors. It was a little close for comfort so I run a 5mm spacer up front.

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

My RT660’s are well used as well. 2nd season on them and I’m officially done with them forever. I’ve never been able to find pressures I was happy with, most recently I’ve settled on 36F/34R Today was the last of the season. A frustrating event due to rain that seemed to happen just before my...

Autocross- SCCA EV-X Class vs. SS

Sunday was event #7 on the year. These 660's are well beyond their service life so I lent a seat to a buddy again who has been autocrossing FWD cars for 20+ years. Was interesting seeing him adapt to the car but couldn't keep it off of the cones, mainly from sliding the rear into them lol. He...
