Torquing Lug Nuts with Torque Sticks 120ftlbs or 140?

I'd rather under-torque with the impact, then fine tune by hand - so I use 120ft lb torque sticks, and follow up manually with a torque wrench. 9 times out of 10, the 120ft lb torque stick has me between 125-130ft lbs, so there's not much left to do with the torque wrench. The torque sticks...

Thoughts on putting massive padlocks on car wheels for security

An angle grinder or plasma cutter would likely cut the shackles right off. Nobody would waste their time picking the locks. They would pull the wheels off and cut the shackles off at their leisure while at another location.

Can you add Wiper Control to the cards on Tesla display?

My earlier post was wrong - when I went out today and I tapped the spray button, it activated the wipers 1x. But it did bring up the wiper card.

Can you add Wiper Control to the cards on Tesla display?

I normally just tap the windshield spray button on the left stalk, and it brings up the wiper control card on the display. If you just tap it, it doesn't spray and it doesn't activate the wipers - it only brings up the card.

    Tow hitch

I had initially bought a set of the pry bars for the stock hitch cover in 2021, but it was still a pain to remove the stock cover with the pry bars. I've bought this hitch cover from Ungødly Design in 2022, and it's been great. You can remove it and replace it in a few seconds. Ungødly Design...

Looking to buy a used Y.. what year is best? 2021 or 2022? Any differences in them?

My 2021 MYLR has a heated steering wheel, and the HEPA filter / Biodefence mode. Mine is an August 2021 build.

Multiple chargers in the Tesla app

I poked around in the app a little while ago and couldn't figure out how to remove a charger. Tesla stuff isn't always the most intuitive....

Multiple chargers in the Tesla app

I've got (2) Tesla Wall Connectors and (2) Tesla's. I paired Wall Connector #1 first (that my wife uses with her car typically) , and Wall Connector #2 second (that I typically use). The Tesla APP only shows one car in the garage, and if both of our cars are plugged in, it only shows the...

    Gigafactory Shanghai - Tour?

I'm going to be in China for 3 weeks in October, and I'll be in Shanghai for probably 10 days of that trip. I used to travel to Hong Kong and China quite a bit pre-covid. I rode in my first Tesla (a Model S - UBER!) in Hong Kong in 2015. I saw a reference from 2022 on this site about being...

Rear bumper scratch by Uhaul employee

I scratched my bumper backing up to my trailer, and I used a black sharpie, a wet microfiber towel, and some fine sand paper to blend it. You can't tell there was ever a mark on the bumper anymore.

    Charging/departure schedule by individual day

You can do this - and more - with TeslaFi. Check in the "Controls" menu, then the "Schedules & Reminders" section. I've been a happy TeslaFi user for 2 years, and have an account for both of my Tesla's. It records just about every data point the car offers, presents a ton of stats, and adds...

unlocking charge port for multiple cars on a wall charger

If you can get ahold of your guests via phone, they can unlock the charge port from their app.

trying to find a good android phone mount for the side of the LED screen

It's not a wireless charger, but I have these for my Model 3 and Model Y, and they work great. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08TQQ1319/ You could always replace the phone cradle with a wireless cradle. The mounting ball is the same that's used on just about every other swivel phone mount...

First company to make EV charging stations like they do gas stations will win...

At least in VA, there are quite a few superchargers at Sheetz and WaWa gas stations. Both brands have food, snacks, restrooms, etc, and are open 24/7. It's a step in the right direction.
