    Model S Insurance in Canada

Depends on your location It is highly dependent on your postal code. I live near the 401 and 404 and pay $230/m on insurance for full coverage. If i lived in Oshawa I would only be paying $120/m or $150/m in Newmarket.

Do you do the Tesla Nod???

I haven't seen a Tesla nod in southern Ontario. The Harley bikes get a downward facing "V" victory sign. EV cars get an upwards "V" victory sign.

Tax on gas and road funding

Imagine a world where everyone is driving an electric car and no one purchased gas. How would your State or Province fund roads and highways? What would you like to pay? Taxes are a fact of life. They pay for expensive bridges on highways and support roads in rural ares. Tax per L of gas in...

ICEing at SCs and how to handle it

Speak to your local municipality about the public road parking by-laws. If it is private property look at the zoning by-laws. In Toronto there is a parking by-law enabling reserved spots for car sharing. But, there is no by-law enabling reserved parking for EV charging.

    Tesla Pickup Truck

How about a 4 motor AWD Truck with 2 battery packs and 2 charge ports. The 2 charge ports would be on the opposite side of the vehicle so the BIG honking truck can occupy 2 parking spots while supercharging. :) Think of a Marauder size vehicle.

2013 Model S85 Rare Green (Toronto) - No Longer Available

Well I will tell you the basics for import to Canada. It might be similar process in the US. Call up Transport Canada and ensure that the car meets the current safety and emission requirements. If it is not on the list it can not be driven in Canada. Fill out import / export paperwork, pay...

Ownership Away from a Service Centre City?

Price of Gas What happened last year is the price of gas was so high that some people started to buy smaller cars and the people who had small cars bought a Tesla. This year, oil production was increased to reduce the price of oil at the pumps making gas cars more affordable. Now that Tesla is...

Locations to change winter tires in Toronto

I go to K & B Tires & Mags Inc in Markham. There is always a lineup of people and they just do tire replacements.

Why should a Mall have EV parking/chargers?

No, you can not resell electricity in Ontario. Charging units in Toronto will bill per connection, bill for charge time, or the cost is included with paid parking.

Powerstream SAE charger at 400 & MajMack

The Chevy Bolt 2017 may have the DC CCS plug as it's standard. But, we will have to see as there are no production cars made yet.

Next Ontario Corridor: Cassellman ON to Sault Ste Marie ON?

The hardest part of installing a super charger or any DC charger is finding available land. Land in Ontario is just so expensive. DC charging units are not that expensive right now in the $15,000 range with ABB and Charge Point units coming next year.
