[Resolved]Tesla won't let me keep charger, claiming restricted

What a few people seem to be missing in the whole Tesla/supplier warranty argument is that in those cases you don’t pay for the part. Not my car, but I had an air conditioner part break. The install was no longer under warranty from the installer but the part was still warrantied by the...

FS: New OEM Model 3 Carbon Fiber Spoiler (North Texas)

Roger that, but I’m not sure how the logistics of safely packing/shipping something like that would work so I’m rather hesitant. I’m not even sure if they are boxed or loose from the dealer and if they are loose I doubt I have a box that can fit it.

FS: New OEM Model 3 Carbon Fiber Spoiler (North Texas)

Tesla mobile service is ready to install my spoiler, so I can either pick it up uninstalled or (I assume) we can try to arrange to have it installed on your car. Note that the earliest install times are late April (25-26) or May (4+) Looking to get around $600 for this, since it's brand new. I...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

I taped the leading edge of the fabric and no trouble so far. /crosses fingers. But...I'm in Texas so aside from the couple of weeks of downpours that got me, we haven't really had much bad weather where I'm at since then. Plus the few times its rained I've been extra careful of course. As...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

In the Tesla forums In the Tesla forums thread, this user has reported that Tesla is addressing the issue: I obviously don't know whether or not this is true, but I'm hopeful that it is and it means this is being addressed.

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

I'll admit that I'm a bit jealous of anyone who has actually gotten a reply from Tesla. I've sent 1 email, 1 contact form, and 2 escalated contact forms and have yet to get any sort of response. :/

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

Submitted my request today via customer service email. More than happy to give up my FUSC which I will never, ever get anywhere near the value from, for a rebate on the car. No, I don't think Tesla "owes" me a rebate. I don't care that my FUSC was from a referral. I think it's a heck of a...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

I paid to have mine replaced, rather than have a giant hole there. Looking at it, post-repair, it's easy to see how the design is flawed. On my car, the front lip of the protector does not sit flush with the car, so no wonder it can potentially catch water.

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

@bigroccrek Interesting that yours is the first I've heard where the damage occurred without it raining. If a missing bolt can cause this issue from wind resistance alone, I suspect that's a bit telling. At any rate, I got a response back from the Tesla Executive Care team and pointed them at...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

My feeling is that most of these issues occur in the rear protector due to the front tires kicking water up along the battery which would cause it to happen in water that is otherwise shallower than would catch on the front protector, but I also haven't looked at the front protector to see if it...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

Apparently not known enough to waive the cost of repairing it. I am absolutely positive I didn’t go through 12+ inches of water as the bumper people did. The service center manager said this could happen with 2 inches of water. There is no way to judge 1-2 inch puddles while driving and no...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

I'm concerned because once it comes undone it basically acts as a scoop. Can tape it back down or cut it off, but worst case scenario is this: https://jalopnik.com/bumper-falls-off-brand-new-tesla-model-3-after-30-minut-1828306917 "If this bit of shielding gets torn or loose, water can be...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

Well, they are claiming that is “normal” wear and tear (on a two freaking week old car) and won’t cover it. Yeah. Sure. Edit: specifically they claim I went through high water too fast. I know both how fast I was going (<35) on my trip that day and was in the center lane to avoid the water on...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

Could be, and I'll ask about it at the service center, but I didn't find any pictures of what the car looked like under the composite in the short time I spent looking.
