    VIN729 - BSM: Contact power failure (ID:721)

This might help, not 100% sure, just looking at my old notes, see if any ones are different than the others. BMB connector Pins 4, (16 to gnd) Temp resistor 1, measue to Pin 15 on MCU. 6, (18 to gnd) Temp resistor 2, measue to Pin 22 on MCU. 8, (20 to gnd) Temp resistor 3...

    VIN729 - BSM: Contact power failure (ID:721)

Yep I've encountered bad BMB reporting bad temps. Though I was lazy and just used another BMB instead. I'm sure it would have been easy to fix though.

"I'm guessing that an incorrectly hot reading would be a shorted connection, either across the sensor or perhaps between one lead and chassis ground, as opposed to an open / loose connection. Where would I look? Where is this wiring?" If i remember right there are two temp sensors, same...

Charging parameters reset - what happened?

Also doesn't the VMS uses GPS via serial to keep track of charging preferences at locations? Maybe GPS sent invalid/wrong info at the time? your GPS firmware been updated?

    Troubleshooting: 1115 & 1116 alerts

I've had higher PEM/motor temps due to fan blowers bearings going bad (as they spin slower) and got PEM temp errors. Also I could notice it when charging that the blower fans were making louder noises/spinning slower. After replacing the fans I no longer saw the temp issues.

Charging parameters reset - what happened?

Flash going bad could cause it to crash/reboot. i.e. VMS Fflash replacement Or maybe bad code was hit, and crashed the process, and the watchdog rebooted it.

Odd order of investigating. Anyways for "it shows one of the brick is -104 degree Celsius," it's either the temp sensor in the sheet or BMB on that sheet. Curious which shop is doing the work?

    Roadster PEM failure

If the handle is flipped up at 90 degrees with the horizon. and you pull it out straight it shouldn't break.

    bad cell 2013 s

Yeah I've worked on Roadster packs where ~40% of the ultrasonic welded sense wires have fallen off for some unknown reason (moisture?)

I'm also working on a battery sheet replacement/refirb, as cells will be replaceable if they do go bad in a brick.

iphone batteries all use these higher voltage cutoffs, and they all have predictive degrade curve over use. You can see the delta voltage difference here in mah. https://www.thunderheartreviews.com/2018/08/li-ion-435v-vs-420v-sanyo-ur18650zta.html
