Booster seat and Tesla don’t go together

I agree the LATCH points are tough to get to. My old 3 series had nice molded plastic ports in the seats that made them easier to engage. The Tesla’s design is prob simpler/cheaper. For how rarely I actually have to interact with them, I’m ok with the tradeoff.

    HW3.0 for EAP Owners?

It will never happen, but I tend to agree with your argument.

    Another Car Wash question

I’ve also managed to get curb rash from the front of my driveway, where the concrete meets the asphalt. The 19” wheels with OEM tires are a rash magnet. I did go up to 245s recently in hopes for a little cushion.

    Another Car Wash question

I’ve gotten curb rash from my local pull-through (but not touchless) car wash. ::shrug::

Former muscle car owner - thoughts and opinions

Former 350z and Cobb 135i owner here. The AWD 3 with acceleration boost is so much better in every way that matters. If anything, I miss rotating the Nissan with the throttle and the sound of the BMW in a tunnel.

Errant Preconditioning for Supercharging alert and new motor whine

I have only supercharged on two occasions, both within the past few months. I heard noticeable motor whine with the preconditioning message in both cases.

Jeda USB Hub Vs. Taptes USB Hub

My Taptes has now been thoroughly fondled. I started with 25 strokes on the two male usb plugs that go into the car, and 25 on the two female data ports. The power-only ones already work fine with my Nomad pad, so I left them alone. This manipulation got the front data+power port to start...

Jeda USB Hub Vs. Taptes USB Hub

I’ll give it a shot. Beats dealing with a return, if it works. The “thumbs down” I earned is pretty hilarious to me. @McFlurri are you used to devices you order not functioning properly on arrival?

Jeda USB Hub Vs. Taptes USB Hub

I’m not proud of it, but I bought the Taptes. On the basis of price, I was never going to be a customer of the Jeda product. The Taptes was an impulse buy. The hub arrived today, It fit just fine, and initially, I was pleased with my purchase. Unfortunately, neither of the data ports in my...

    3rd party Heads up Displays

My previous car was a BMW with a HUD that included speed, media, and nav on the windshield. I drove it for a number of years and said on more than one occasion that I would never buy another car without it. Then the Model 3 was announced, and the excitement about a Tesla I could actually...

Sentry-Why no MicroSD w/ USB adapter AND Lightning (iPhone connector)?

Lol. You are already all over it! I’m hoping that Tesla gets around to doing an in-car viewer. It seems trivially easy and perhaps inevitable, just a matter of prioritizing it relative to the other “nice to have” updates.

Sentry-Why no MicroSD w/ USB adapter AND Lightning (iPhone connector)?

@Kennymb5384 durability is a concern with the iXpand (and most usb flash) drives. For the high number of write cycles that the storage device will be seeing, a high endurance SD card or SSD is preferable. That said, I have a usb stick that I just pulled out of the car after ~20k miles. I...

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

In that case, it might be a waste of your money. It is definitely just about going fast when you push the pedal down. In that regard, it’s totally worth it.

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

Have you ever/would you ever opt for a 335i over a 328i? A hellcat over an srt? Splurged on the v6 accord? Same decision, but cheaper and with no fuel efficiency impact.
