@pgiralt, the SoC correlation is a great clue. I'll explore that a bit more - thanks!

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

Is there a way to add on to an existing complaint, or does each person have to file a new complaint?

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

This morning I picked up my circuit board from Tony where he replaced the faulty chip. Although my screen had gon completely blank, Tony was able to recover my certificate off the old chip and install it into the replacement. When I plugged the MCU back in, it came up and the screen started...

Battery Charge Level Will Be Restricted

OP here. @feffions - sorry about that. Have you tried to charge it? Hopefully you have enough to make it to the service center, or they will send out a flatbed. My experience, in Southern California back when this happened in July '17, was it took them a few days to install a loaner battery...

Pilot Sport 4S vs Pilot Super Sport

@phaphaphooey Thank you! Here in Southern California rain is pretty rare but when it does happen it's good to know the PS4S can handle it. Appreciate the response.

Pilot Sport 4S vs Pilot Super Sport

Hi all, I have 20" aftermarket rims on my P85+ so I can run a square pattern (245/40/20). I've had good luck running Mich Pilot Super Sports but it is time to retire them. Looking at the Michelin web site it looks like the PS4S is the next thing, destined to replace the PSS. Anyone have any...

Yet another thread about locals using Superchargers

I have to admit - the supercharger installation I'm most exited about is 400 miles from my house, in the town where I lived growing up and where most of my family still resides.

    Supercharger - Concord, CA (LIVE 2 Mar 2018, 19 V2 stalls)

I'm looking forward to this! I live in southern California but all my family is in Concord, Walnut Creek, etc. Now I won't have to hijack my brother's electric dryer outlet any more. I'm sure that will please my sister-in-law...

Battery Charge Level Will Be Restricted

@agloutney The display says 243 rated miles at 89% charge. I haven't been keeping track, and I usually display percent, not miles. It does seem that my daily round trip commute of 56 miles seems to use slightly less percentage of the battery than before. I'll start keeping track and let you know.

Battery Charge Level Will Be Restricted

Still on the loaner battery. Been two months now. Car runs fine - I'm in no hurry to get my original battery back.

Good emergency roadside jack for MS

2 ton Compact Trolley Jack I have one of these. It was recommended in another post (I have to find the post). It works.

    Model S won't charge

"Loaner pack" means they loan you a battery while they fix your original battery. It took them 3-4 days to get another battery - apparently a new 85 kWh manufactured just a month or so ago - and they took my battery out and stuck this new battery in my car. Then they sent my battery back to...
