I wasn't sure how easy I could source that part (ebay used?) so I took it to the service center. They charged me $220 to replace it and top off the fluids. Not so bad.

When my gear broke I asked for replacements and they handed me 2 of these for free. I don't have the same failure rate, I've had 2 gears break and 1 set of wires (micro switches) break over 4 years and 75K miles. But hopefully the new design lasts longer.

Yes the Syracuse supercharger is pretty lame in what's around. Technically there is a restaurant and some nice bathrooms in the hotel, but the restaurant hours are poor. Or you can walk across the street to get to a Taco Bell and KFC. I try to avoid that one if I can help it.

For my particular situation, the phone GPS is always perfect (google maps, waze and apple maps). The car's GPS is the one that's off. I have been using the phone more and more because it's reliable and the car's is not.
