With the new refresh on model 3s and new ranges. Will older models get a range increase?

Stopped 3 times for charging. First one estimated (when unplugged) my arrival at 17%, actual arrival 9%. Second estimated 24%, actual 17%. Third estimated 22% actual 16%. The last leg had some wind. Otherwise 70-80F and no real serious wind.

Model 3 September 2020 Range Question! Please help us!

It looks like it may be possible that Model 3 LR made in September of 2020, have a slightly longer range than ones made earlier in the year. However, we need a larger sample set. The sticker in your drivers side door jam states the date of manufacture. Please ONLY MODEL 3 LONG RANGE...

With the new refresh on model 3s and new ranges. Will older models get a range increase?

I don't really want to mess with those settings. We really need to find someone who got a Model 3 LR with aero wheels in September. Running some numbers, even if the computer no longer takes wheels into account. I still would only be getting about 79% efficiency. Much lower than I got on the...

With the new refresh on model 3s and new ranges. Will older models get a range increase?

I think you might be right about the wheel size. I got abysmal efficiency during a long highway drive yesterday: This was taken from Tezlab on the exact same 121mi stretch of highway in NC: On my 2017 Model S 75D, the rated range was 254mi when new and 236mi during this drive. Average speed of...

With the new refresh on model 3s and new ranges. Will older models get a range increase?

On my 2017 Model S 75D, after 3 years and 69k miles (34k of which was supercharged), I had 8% degradation. The first year seemed to be the biggest with ~4% hit. But after two years, it seemed to stabilize at 7%. Always keep in mind the "effective" range of the vehicle. The number on the...

So the rated range on yours is the same as mine. Wonder if anyone who has a post June 2020 but pre sept 2020 M3 LR can chime in on their range?

ABRP Battery Degradation Comparison Post / Poll

I have twice. However, I think we figured out the problem. It seems like I have a sort of hybrid of the "old" and new LR Model 3. Mine was made the third week of September 2020. With 19" wheels it charges to 320mi at full, putting it at 340mi at full if I had 18" wheels. Today we took out the...

With the new refresh on model 3s and new ranges. Will older models get a range increase?

Looks damn near identical. So as you said, a chimera. I know that Tesla has a "as things become available we add them" attitude. So I'm guessing mine was just made during some weird transition period.

With the new refresh on model 3s and new ranges. Will older models get a range increase?

haha. I really want to check now. With the heat at max and A/C off, it makes the same amount of noise as it does when the it's on "LO" and the A/C on. Also, it's FAR quieter than my my old MS. Totally taking that cover off!! It's straightforward, I did it on the MS.

With the new refresh on model 3s and new ranges. Will older models get a range increase?

Alright. I have few minutes, unless you know of some better way to check, I'm going to take the cover off the frunk and see if I can get glimpse of a maybe heat pump (assuming it's bright orange and in the same place as a Model Y).

With the new refresh on model 3s and new ranges. Will older models get a range increase?

It had the right wheels since delivery. Even before 2020.40.x I was showing almost 250mi at 78%. I guess this would explain why ABRP has consistently been underestimating range. On my old MS, it was pretty spot on.
