    Installed Nema 1450 outlet

It's a cheapo from Depot outlet.

    Installed Nema 1450 outlet

This is definitely the case. I would need a second charger if I wanted to take it with me. I don't drive long distance much and I've gone without it the few times Ive driven somewhat far. The superchargers are common enough that it wasn't a major concern.

    Installed Nema 1450 outlet

I believe I have the older UMC. It believe it charges at 40 amps, but I'll have to make sure on that. I'll keep an eye on the charger to see if it's getting warm. Thanks for the heads up.

    Installed Nema 1450 outlet

All great points. The adapter is secured to the ceiling so there is no weight on the outlet or the adapter cords. As far as the cable gauge, this was the side that the electrician was planning to run. Also, checked with the father in law who is an electrician and he said #3 wire is good. I...

    Installed Nema 1450 outlet

I finally got it done nine months after getting the Model S. I installed 100 amp service to the garage and a 50 amp, Nema 1450 outlet to charge the car. I'm sure I'm not the first to do it, but I haven't seen it elsewhere. I installed the outlet/mobile adapter on the ceiling. This way, it's...

Did they remove the ability to make a service appointment?

I tried that a while ago. I also tried downloading the app on my wife's phone. Nothing works. I think Tesla has disabled service scheduling on some models. That or it's a big, but I really don't think it's a big. Maybe we will notice a trend if we all post our model and purchase history...

    Wire size for long run

Fishing a wire through the ceiling sounds dodgy? How do you suggest I get wire from one end of my house to the other with a finished basement? By the way, the builders ran wire in the ceiling. It's not some crazy idea.

Did they remove the ability to make a service appointment?

I am also missing the schedule service button on my app. It's not on the website. I've even tried calling my service center, but they don't answer or return messages. This is incredibly frustrating. 2014 Model S

    Wire size for long run

I'm guessing you have 50 amp service for this run?

    Wire size for long run

I'm planning to run power to my garage for the nema 14-50, 240V outlets. Unfortunately for me, the breaker is on the other end of the house and my basement is completely finished. I've already fished a rope in the ceiling, so I'm ready to go with the wire. Because this is a difficult run, I...

    No service option in app

I've logged out and back in. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. I installed the app on my wife's phone. Nothing works. No service scheduling is available to me. I'm over an hour away from the nearest service center but the only option left is to drive over there and slap someone on the...

    No service option in app

I need some help. I need to schedule service for my 2014 model S. I went into the iPhone app and I noticed the option for service is gone from the main screen. I've seen it there in the past. What happened? To make matters worse, I've tried every option - the website, calling my service...

    Same update a few times?

Does anyone else get the same update maybe two or three times every time a new one is released. I guess I'm not checking the version, but the notes are exactly the same.
