I have a feeling Tesla can get away with it as long as they have the ev market cornered. With full autonomous driving coming soon, I'm sure Tesla will come out with some kind of 'to your door' test drive service before the competition catches up.

Offset the cost. Lower taxes on the poor and raise it for the rich. Have exemptions for the poor and increase their wages. Better welfare, free college and healthcare. That's only a start.

Sometimes parking and destination are far away from each other. I imagine Tesla could make a reasonably priced electric scooter that recharges in the trunk or something. Make it a multi charging rack so the whole family can have one! :D

I live in Okinawa and walk a lot but have not seen a Tesla taxi yet. I've only seen a few Teslas at all. :( If you didn't know, taxis in Japan have a manual lever that the driver can pull to open and close the door.
