Service Required after 12v battery replacement

Can’t help debugging the problem but I believe if you swap out the DC-DC converter for a used one (not bought and installed by Tesla) you will have to reload the firmware, and I don’t know how you will get Tesla to do that for you. So before you buy a used DC-DC converter look into this issue.

SolarEdge Generation Monitoring - hardwired (ethernet) network connection

Yes, this is only an issue for those without powerwalls. If one has powerwalls, its a no brainer to have the powerwall TEG report to Tesla and connect an Ethernet cable to the SolarEdge inverter to have the inverter report to SolarEdge, providing the best of both worlds. I’m still in the permit...

SolarEdge Generation Monitoring - hardwired (ethernet) network connection

Someone had posted that they installed a Solaredge Home Gateway Zigbee SE1000-ZBGW-K5-NA in place of the little Zigbee box Tesla provides, and he was then able to use both the Tesla app and the SolarEdge app. He did not mention whether he still had energy consumption data on the Tesla app. I...

Considering solar panels, looking for sizing/financing advice

I’m supposed to get the SE11400 inverter also. According to Tesla, they expect the County permit to issue around October 9, with an install sometime thereafter. I am under the impression that the current inverters no longer have the display. As for when your inverter was manufactured, it has a...

Considering solar panels, looking for sizing/financing advice

What device is displaying that information? My understanding is that the current SolarEdge inverters no longer have a screen to display data.

Considering solar panels, looking for sizing/financing advice

I contacted my project adviser this morning and he assured me that a powerblaster will be installed in the electrical panel box (even though it is not shown in the design drawings) to enable energy consumption monitoring. He indicated it is one of the last items installed and that every solar...

Considering solar panels, looking for sizing/financing advice

That is what I was trying to find it; whether the consumption data would show in the Tesla app so that a third party app is not needed to get this data. I guess I’ll have to call the Tesla Project Advisor on Monday and ask about Tesla providing the powerblaster in my install.

Considering solar panels, looking for sizing/financing advice

I’m curious to know whether anyone that had a solar install in which the Energy Aware Technology (now called Neurio) powerblaster PB1 was not installed by Tesla went and installed a Neurio W1 themselves (as the PB1 does not appear to be available to purchase) and whether they were then able to...

    power blaster /neurio?

I’m curious to know whether anyone that had a solar install in which the Energy Aware Technology (now called Neurio) powerblaster PB1 was not installed by Tesla went and installed a Neurio W1 themselves (as the PB1 does not appear to be available to purchase) and whether they were then able to...

    power blaster /neurio?

For general info, this article ( Energy Aware Secures C$1.5M, Changes Name to Neurio Technology ) indicates that Energy Aware Technology changed their name to Neurio Technology.

    Stay away from SolarEdge inverter

You don’t have to agree with me. It’s nothing off my back. I just request that you call SolarEdge’s toll free number and select the option to speak to tech support and then report here what they tell you. I’m can only report what the tech support person I spoke to told me, including his telling...

    Stay away from SolarEdge inverter

I think the reason people are experiencing issues with the SolarEdge inverter is due to improper inverter selection by the Tesla design people. I’m having an 11.56Kw system designed. Tesla originally spec’ed the SE7600 inverter. When I questioned them about this selection they informed me that...

Considering solar panels, looking for sizing/financing advice

Tesla had no issue with customizing the design to stay under the Tier 1 system for Florida; hence an 11,560 watt design instead of Tesla’s standard 12,xxx watt system. The problem is they verbally tell you one thing but the purchase agreement says something else (or nothing at all). Doing...

Considering solar panels, looking for sizing/financing advice

We eventually agreed to use the Hanwha panel with SolarEdge P400 power optimizers and a SolarEdge SE11400 inverter. But they will not list these items in the purchase agreement. I did suggest making the design plans a part of the agreement if they do not wish to revise the agreement, but they...

Considering solar panels, looking for sizing/financing advice

First swing is no good. They already prepared such drawings bec HOA needs to approve the install. Drawings indicate design is typical and subject to change. Regarding the second swing, do you really want to get into a confrontation about the equipment on the day of installation? Lastly, what...
