    A new axle is about $250. A CV boot is what, $40 and takes 5 minutes to swap out once the axle is out? If you're already doing it yourself, how much do you make an hour?

    Checking back in, new axle is still perfect, no noises coming from it, and I'm still very happy I fixed it for cheap! The car still ludicrous launches with it same as ever, and I haven't snapped it yet :)
