PSEG and change to RLM time of use Billing

I was thinking of changing to an October true-up date as well but was wondering if February would be better. That's when I start accumulating a lot of credits that I can use up mostly in the summer for a/c. By the end of winter, I'm almost back to zero in terms of credits. Thoughts?

Model S Technical / Mechanical Issues

Got in my 2014 S85 RWD pre-AP and when I tried to drive, it said my charging cable was still connected. Problem was my cable was not connected nor was my charge port door opened. Tried to unlock and open charging port with screen, app and fob but nothing worked. Rebooted, powered off and still...

It was great speaking with you today, Thiyag! Really happy to see this SC go live today. Made my weekend.

My key opened someone else's tesla

Maybe a dumb question but is it possible to leave a Tesla unlocked? I seem to recall that if I unlock the car with the fob and walk away without the "walk away lock" setting on, the car stays unlocked. The handles may retract but if you push them without having the fob nearby, they will come out...

    Supercharger - Newark, DE

I just called Tesla and it's still offline. They said it lost power but there's someone going out there today or tomorrow to fix it. They think it will be back online shortly after that.

    Plugging into random 110 outlet

It's theft and this kind of thing will not help the image of EV drivers. We already have an uphill battle: I once parked at an EV-only charging spot in a public parking lot and a woman in a nearby ICE made a snide remark at how she wished she had a parking spot reserved for her too. Imagine when...

2017 model s cracked glass roof upon delivery

If you order a new car, you will take delivery in 2018 and won't get the $7,500 federal tax credit, correct? I think the credit is being removed under the new tax bill in Congress. If so, that change (along with no free supercharging) would argue in favor of keeping your current car.

Any news or updates? If that electrician was right, they should be close to finishing by now...

    PA to Bar Harbor, ME

We stayed at the Acadia Hotel a few weeks ago. Destination charger right out front by the entrance and they save the parking spot for you. If another guest parks in that spot by accident, the hotel asks them politely to move to another spot. Really enjoyed our stay there and the management is...

A different idea for limiting SC

Perhaps they should charge per minute rather than per kwh. That would encourage people to charge for only what they need and then quickly liberate the spot for others. If your battery is almost empty and your 20 minute charge nets you 60kwh, you would be charged the same as for someone spending...

NJ Raises Gas Tax By 23 Cents

"Democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." - Winston Churchill I'm tired of the "everyone else is a gullible idiot" tirade. Listen, nobody likes paying taxes. Complain all you like about inefficiency, waste and bureaucracy...

Ok - it's been 9 days since the last update. Does anyone have any news (preferably the good kind)?

    SuperCharger - Magog, Qc

If construction hasn't started yet (someone please confirm), will it really be possible to have this SC up and running by the end of spring?

Reasons I like my "classic" nose cone

I was able to compare the front ends at the event today in Paramus, NJ. The new front looks better in person than in the photos but of course, those cars are brand new. Let's see how they stand up to the everyday wear and tear. A bit of road tar and rock chips may look a lot worse on the new...
