    Unicorn 2017 model S P100D price help!

All of this. Someone driving 20k mi/yr in California (HOV 3+) will value this car much higher than most drivers. Also, if you believe FSD and snake chargers are the future, this is an entirely different proposition. A family or group of owners can squeeze a lot of value out of one car in that...

    Model X - seats in Model S

Has anyone completed this install? I'd like to put Model X seats (front row) into my 2016 S.

Tesla now keeps all the SRECs [SREC = Solar Renewable Energy Credits]

Is this for the subscription only? Or for upfront purchases, as well?

    Cybertruck Skatboard

This. The only way to buy the chassis is to buy the roof, hood, etc. The Cybertruck is a unibody vehicle so there's no practical way to swap body panels, etc. You're asking for a steak with no meat. That's just called a soybean.

    Rear trunk won't open

I concur with everything that @pts260 said. The trunk will function on your road trip if you remember to close it by hand. Two other nuggets: 1. TACC/AP is a must have on a 3000 mi trip. I"ve got your back on this first-world problem. 2. I wouldn't bank on getting a loaner. They're hard to come...

    Rear trunk won't open

If I'm not mistaken, charge ports can be opened by any Tesla charger. It is common to see charge ports open on parked cars near a Supercharging station. Pretty bizarre behavior, though. If you have an issue with your actuator or the cinching motor, having the car power down and then power up...

    Rear trunk won't open

Same issue and same success in getting the trunk open. This can be done in three minutes with a Torx 20 and no skill or knowledge. On my facelift 2016 MS, there is just one T20 screw on the underside of the plastic. Everything else is tabs that you can safely and easily pull out. The hardest...

Supercharger - San Ramon, CA (expanded to 16 V2 stalls)

<facetious> I think the term you're looking for is "saving" because the L2 spots are free for four hours. </facetious>

    Enough with the Games, already.

I see both sides of this. Logically, I'm inclined to agree with you about the two issues being unrelated. As someone who paid for FSD almost three years ago and doesn't play fart sounds, my frustration is justified. Let's agree that Elon has spent at least a few minutes tweeting about and...

Tesla app stuck showing Software Update available

Had a similar (not identical) issue about a month ago on my 10/16 90D. I wasn't able to connect to the car with the app, although the car was drive-able. Used the scroll wheels for a soft reboot on the car and it worked. The software update finished installing and the car and app were functional.

Would I be crazy to switch from an S/X P100D to a Roadster?

@playoutside has had seven cars in seven years. @X.l.r.8 keeps cars for a long time.

MCU is dead, car is bricked, Tesla is being unforgivably terrible

In my experience, Tesla prioritizes parts for new cars. Nothing gets between them and a single quarterly delivery. They've got cars sitting all over California with plates and HOV stickers, ready to deliver to a new customer within hours. The sad part about all of this is that there won't be...

MCU is dead, car is bricked, Tesla is being unforgivably terrible

I wholeheartedly agree with all of this and I'm in the same boat (fan, shareholder, etc.). My wife and I have become more cautious about recommending Tesla to friends and family. My car was hit and damaged significantly so my experience may be completely different from what you're about to go...

    Lifetime Average Wh/mi

285 Wh/mi on a 90D (10/16 build) with 19" slipstreams. I have a ~600 ft. decent/climb each day. Got hit last year and had to drive around with the damage for four months. Then gave up my car for two months during repairs. Now that I have her back, I'm giving up on having a low Wh/mi and I'm...
