Lower range of P vs. LR - How much is it the tires vs. the wheels?

I have the Martian forged wheels, 18*8,5. My efficiency went up by 10 a 11%, so close to LR awd value. Handling, comfort and acceleration really improved. I should measure the 0-100kph time, it feels quicker!

Buy 18" for winter tyres. You also get some of the range loss due to cold temperatures back due to the better efficiency of the smaller rims.

@scarpiamod3; But still you said "So they are blind selling the wheels from a factory." which is not true. Forged wheels 100% produces in the USA (or Europe) are $1000+ each. So then these Martians are good value at $500. Also true that you can find forged wheels directly form China for much...

    Martian Wheels MW03

This is not true. I followd the transport, and they were shipped form the Martian adres in the US. They do the quality checks, finishing, painting, hubcabs and installation of pressure sensors themselves. I was dissapointed in them as well, because of the very long lead time. But you cannot...

3 dB diffrence means twice the sound level. I have Pirelli's now, the Cinturato all season plus, which is also 69dB. It is really a big diffrence in sound level, compared to the stock performance tyres, Michelins PS4S wich are 72dB.

Use a tyre comparison calculator. Look for an option which matches the original diameter the best, and is easilly available as well. If you compare the diffrent original tyre options, you see that they differ a little bit as well. If it is within 1%, it's fine. 255 works on a 8,5" rim, better...

List of 18" wheels for P3D+

I went with Martian wheels, 18*8,5. With slightly bigger 245/45R18 tyres. They look awsome, it's a ET28 rim, whichis a little wider than stock, combined with the fatter tyre, looks really good. Ride comfort compared to the stock 20" PS4S is excellent, quiter, more comfy, steering is more...

Yes, I have the Pilot Sport 4S T0 235/35 ZR20 with that tyre label on my M3P. The diffrence between 71 and 69db is really big. Wet grip is the most important feature for me, and after that a good efficiency and noise. You have to find a tyre that performs well in all fields. I think the...

@TonyJag , Some of these tyres are not sold in Europe, so they don't have a EU tyre label. The PS all season 4 is not unfortunately. I have the Pirelli Cinturato all season plus. Don't know how they are diffrent to the P Zero's. It has good rolling resistance, good wet grip, and low noise. I've...

Nice, black on red! Mine were installed yesterday. 245/45R18 fits perfectly, they fill the wheel wells realy nice, offset is also perfect. First impressions are positive, much better ride comfort, handling is good, also at high speed, tyres are quieter as well. Martian 3 by Tanis posted Jul...

I bought the Pirelli Cinturato All Season Plus. But it looks to be a diffrent tyre in Europe. You have the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4, which is a very good tyre.

Excellent summery! I went down to lightweight forged 18" Martian Wheels on my M3P as well. Weight diffrence is 5kg per rim, so 20 kilo in total, wich is huge! Much better in every way. Also improves your milage, which is important for your winter set up as well, because the range is lower due to...

20" OEM Sport Wheels vs. Zero-G Wheels

This is a good value forged wheel for Tesla's, the 20" weights 9.75 kg. Saving of 3.3kg per wheel. And stronger than the cast wheels. Tesla Model 3 20 I bought them in 18, for all the above mentioned reasons. They are 8.1kg which is extremely light.

Yes, T0 is a Tesla specific spec. A standard 235 tire has a much smaller contact area. Expensive tire by the way. Yes it is, don't know the brand. Most detailers do that now. Makes cleaning much easier.
